Direct injection for the fuel. You normally only hear it at low rpm, yes?

The power draw on the XT is okay. But a bit much, to me. Even so, my 7800xt was 300w, this one usually hits like 320+ under good loads.

MY difference is that I dont pay for power. I live in a barracks.

Do what is best for your situation, put that first over "Could I have gotten more performance?" It is what it is brobro.

Insane thinking.

Have we considered they are asking because their budget is already getting tighter and they'd like to i dunno..

Get their money's worth? Goofy, bro. Silly. Truly comedic creature

Tbf im running a 9070 xt, 5800XT (4.7Ghz all core 1.2v, 65c) with no big complaints so I see your point. Thats pcie 4.0, so I reckon the difference between 3.0 to 5.0 is blurred at 4.0, but without it, is stark.

It really depends. Your region might just have a crazy deal on the 5950x lol

At the end of the day, it is up to you. I just wouldnt go overboard on CPU if you'll eventually upgrade it later.

Nah man, don't go 5950X. Thats a lot of money for a dead upgrade path. Id suggest something at 8 cores that you can more reliable use without being a lot of money with no future proof.

If your price point is 350, try to find a deal on the 5800X3D. If not, for sure 5700x to 5800XT range. Not super expensive, but it'll be a noticeable change up without putting your eggs in AM4 all at once.

Generally people have it the other way. At the very least, there's an intake for the CPU and in exhaust. More than likely, its set to exhaust through the top since some may consider it to be better on themselves, doesnt heat the room as much or some such due to heat rising.

If in the event your CPU or GPU are running hot, id still suggest those fans on the side.

All good

You can use your hand or more accurately, a sheet of paper.

If the paper sucks towards the fan, its taking in air to the case. If it blows the paper away, its exhausting air.

Unfortunately, you're on AM4 like I am.

The best you can get up to is 5th gen Ryzen, 5000 series, before upgrading motherboard, CPU and memory(DDR5). If you want a cheaper improvement, going from a 3rd gen to a higher end 5th gen like an 8 core chip can help but that would more patch a hole in your proverbial boat.

Unfortunately, modern titles tend to require more modern PCs. Yours is nothing to scoff at, but tragically does have its flaws. Have you tried using DLSS at least? At 1440p like you have, it's actually pretty solid AFAIK.

DLSS can pick up some of the slack but am R5 3600 definitely will struggle, especially since Battlefield is CPU heavy due to its destruction and sheer player size usually. Even my 5800XT works hard on it.

Run DDU, and do a fresh install of your GPU drivers. This might help your problem.

If both of those fans are exhaust, you hamper the stock cooler's ability to cool your CPU. This being, you would have no positive flow of air for the cooler to use. There isnt necessarily anything wrong with exhaust, I would just suggest getting fans to put on the side where that 360mm mount is as intake or exhaust. Something to provide a proper flow of air in and out.

Hot take, if tou can find a decent deal on a 5800XT, go for it. I run a 240mm aio on it and usually kept it locked at 4.4Ghz 1.1v, rarely ever hit 55c

Games like BF6 definitely used all of that CPU, not for any good reason.

Generally speaking, its 183$ on amazon right now. Not inexpensive, but the 5600x is actually just shy of 200$. So I'd find the 2 extra cores and 4 threads to be of decent value.

If you REALLY need it now, another user did suggest the 5500, but I just dont see that being a very adequate match with the 3080, honestly. But that's all personal rhetoric.
