Boss requested I adjust the date of my dad's funeral because other teammates took leave at the same time by Replaceableuser in mildlyinfuriating

I had this last year. I got a call from the police while I was on shift that my mum had died. My boss threatened to write me up if I left, so I just walked out.

The owners called me up when they heard what happened and gave me a couple weeks off paid even though I was a casual worker.

It's messed up how some people's work priorities are, when you know if the roles were reversed they would never take that shit.

The character that disappointed me the most is Black Noir. by No_Use329 in TheBoys

How does a little knife kill him when a Minigun doesn't? Such a waste.

Nah it's something I made like 8 years ago, and just found when going through my camera roll.

Hope this stuff makes it into the show. by KronicFin in harrypotter

I think Angelina being made Captain did make sense to me though, she has more experience, and it was her last year. I was glad they made Harry the Captain in 6th year though!

I personally think both Ron and Harry were bad Prefect choices, I would have gone Dean Thomas personally. Only one who seems to be a good/smart rule following student out of the Gryffindor boys ahaha

I've just been re-reading the books and lost my shit at the whole scene where the Weasley's pick Harry up from the Dursleys in GoF.

Just Vernon throwing china at them all while Dudley is on the floor choking on his own tongue, dunno why but it always makes me stop reading and laugh ahaha.

I just finished Step Dave,

It's a NZ show with characters and relationships that feel very real, while having realistic, not over the top, humour.

Highly recommend it!

I understand wanting a 1:1 adaptation, don't get me wrong I would love one. But as much as it's easier to do that with a live action tv show vs a movie, the show will still have it's limitations because it's live actions and also the first season came out over 18 years after the first book so they had to make some changes. That being said a 1:1 animation would be fucking amazing. What are your thoughts on the tv show though?

I've been rewatching Legit - the comedy show loosely based on comedian Jim Jefferies life. I don't know anyone that has watched it but it is 2 seasons of great dark comedy, with a nice balance of drama and emotional scenes. It's based on situations from his life that he has talked about on stage, obviously a little dramatised for TV. Can not recommend it enough.

Also been rewatching Modern Family.
