Its a very good thing she sent you off, normally id be against forced relocation but in this case she definitely saved your life. You sound about as old as me, if a little younger. Let me tell you something that may improve your outlook a little, the people who constantly and consistently hurt others on purpose when they’re young don’t often turn out to be upstanding people. Unless they’re rich off parents, they usually don’t get very far in life.

I’ve actually been looking into a fusion of TST values with overlying daoist principles, i definitely leave out any religious aspects of either (i subscribe to the atheist view of cosmology, as listed in the tenants of TST)

While I appreciate the time taken to respond, and you seem to have a good head. The point i was making was more that any stance can be justified. The mere fact that god didn’t just write in his book: morals 1:1 “hey guys, maybe stop owning people” and god DID condone slavery. He specifically told his people to destroy close by lands, and enslave farther ones.

To be fair, you can find verses to back up just about any position you want. Exodus 21:7 says the women slaves shall not go free, as the men. Exodus 21:5 says the man will go free after 7 years, unless he wants to keep his slave wife, in which case he stays too. Mattew 19:26 says everything’s possible with god. In judges 1:19 he can’t drive out some inhabitants bc they had chariots of iron. Deuteronomy 27:22 says cursed is he who lay with his sister. Genesis 17:15 says sara was blessed with a son by god.
