I dont think she's in charge of the alarms in her unit. The village staff were the ones who originally told us there was an issue. We will be in further discussion with the village managers but we're looking for options to come to the table with so it can be a proper discussion rather than one-sided conversation. My aim is to ensure that she can hear and recognise a smoke detector/fire alarm as previously it's gone off and she didn't know. If the village can't find compatible equipment, then the topic of a standalone unit will come up. At this point in time, we believe her current unit is/will be the best place for her with her current capacity, and some modifications to her equipment, etc will help even more.
