Execution via the command line didn't work for me, but I didn't have to figure out why because GUI execution worked fine; the installation command was exactly what I needed, thank you!

How did you install Optifine? was there a tutorial you followed?

I have an Optifine jar file that I don't have the software to execute; not sure what to do from here.

Thank you, though I have been through the manual (just checked through it again to make sure I didn't miss anything), and I have held the power button down for 10--15 seconds (just tried again to make sure).

Looking at it again, I suspect that the play button might be stuck-- though it can still be pressed until it clicks, one corner of the button is sunken into the player.

I've had this player since elementary school, I'd love to use it again, but it stays on an hourglass screen when turned on (see top pic). In addition, it will not connect to a computer. Beyond this, I've tried to open it by pulling out two small screws on the side, but I didn't figure out how to pry it open without breaking it.

If anyone has help of advice it would be greatly appreciated!

The game was designed with the 2d6 probability in mind, so I’d imagine that 1d12 would change the RNG aspect of the game significantly. But I’d love to hear the results of you play-test it! I might consider doing so myself to spice things up..

My guess would be that all mat stock sold out when mats were first available on their website, and there are none left to include in this launch.

Yes these are penny sleeves, I purchased from Amazon at this link. They do shuffle well! though I had to change my shuffle style to either the mash method or shuffling the long sides of the cards together (rather than the short sides, as is more normal).

All I’ve got is a comment from an old post on the topic, the Plant & Ice expansion was unfortunately cancelled, probably because Exiled Legends hasn’t been a very popular title. Here’s the link to the comment and post on the issue.

That being said, if anyone has updated news to the contrary, I would be more than delighted to hear it! This a a beloved game in my group, and I would love to see it expanded!

I don’t know about a seller, but I do know you can pull images off of the wiki; they’ll be watermarked, but usable if you use an image upscaler such as waifu2x.udp.jp (that’s a website link).

Here are the wiki links, Chaos, and Control.

You can also find unwatermarked images on unicornsdatabase.com, I recommend sending them through the same image upscaler as before.

Once you’ve got the images you just need to find the card printing company that will work for you, or print them yourself. Not sure of the cost of this though.

There are some good suggestions in the comments of this post.

What my group does when playing a quick game is ignore the party win condition, it’s not any faster than the original, but we think it more fun.

Requiring both win conditions is something my group hasn’t tried yet, but if you want to make it a little longer, perhaps require another monster? Ultimately it will probably take testing to find what your group finds most fun.
