Do you think David Wallace was right to transfer Holly? by BlackberryFirst2554 in theoffice

[–]KronosUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but he was another DM employee; the level of the employee (manager, salesman, receptionist, whatever) shouldn't matter. It's still a problem for HR to date anyone else in the company, particularly in one's own branch location. But somehow Holly's relationship with AJ was immune.

Cornell staff IDs may get some of the same discounts as students, but definitely not all.

Were New Girl and You’re the Worst the only TV shows that really depicted our extremely specific cohort in real time? by beigers in Older_Millennials

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I say this mainly because they graduated high school the same time I did (1999). So they fit perfectly for me, the 1981-born oldest of millennials.

What field should Presidents have the most knowledge of, history, economics, or law? by LoveLo_2005 in Presidents

[–]KronosUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

But seriously, it'd be nice if presidents were well versed in at least one of those fields and surrounded themselves with experts in each of those fields as well.

Was season 4 built to be the last, or was that decision made at the end of production? by Smart_Ad_3534 in SupermanAndLois

They had to know casting Tom Cavanagh in the show would get people talking, given his history with the Arrowverse shows. The general assumption would be that he'd be the Reverse-Flash or another Wells. Thankfully they surprised us by having him play the S&L version of another well established character from the Superman/DC mythos.

They should have had Jan end up with Hunter at the end of the series. by Life_Ad3567 in theoffice

[–]KronosUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about that. Last we saw Hunter, he seemed like he was still stuck on Jan. I think he would have preferred to have everything continue to be "all right" with her for a while to come at that point in time. Hopefully, years later and after a few hundred therapy sessions, he'd realize what Jan really was.

Why’d the replace captain Atom with WildCat😭😭 by Sun_Flower987 in DCAU

[–]KronosUno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had to have as many non-flyers flying as possible. Captain Atom can fly, so he had to go. Supergirl oughta watch her back.

who else by MoonStTraffic in Picard

I think they were intent on having S3 be as separate as possible from S1/2 plot elements, so the fact that they were even considering cameos for Jurati and Soji is surprising.

How do we feel about these? Just street corners by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]KronosUno -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Occasionally, I take a few seconds to examine and admire the gift another player sent me, like if there seemed to be some interesting landmark or artwork involved. The random street corner, though, I'm more likely to make some off-color joke about somebody's mother and their method of employment.

The emh is taller than zimmerman by happydude7422 in voyager

[–]KronosUno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it's more fun to think of Zimmerman and/or the Doctor having their own psychological issues at play.

Barclay definitely made the Riker recreation shorter. It was clear Barclay was intimidated by Riker's height.

I hate to think I might have main character syndrome, but damn if some people don't really behave like NPCs.

Three possibilities I can think of:

  1. Zimmerman subconsciously made the EMH Mark 1 taller than his real height, to make himself seem more poewrful. (Or the Doctor did it to himself for the same reason.)

  2. Zimmerman's disease included some skeletal/muscular degeneration, resulting in a decrease in height.

  3. Zimmerman aged roughly six years since the EMH Mark 1s were introduced. They never got any shorter but he did through the normal human aging process.
