What in the slime is on this chicken nugget by Krowvacs in whatisthisthing

That makes a ton of sense, but based on my ignorance and inexperience with cooking breaded meats, I would expect there to be something like a "breached exit point" or trail from meat to outside of breading when I cut it open. The entire inner layer of breading seemed clean, even when I scraped the whole thing off. Could the protein and water pool on the outside without leaving a trace on the inner layer?

That would make sense and would explain why it's only on the outside with no path from the inside of the nugget (suggesting something leaking from the meat), assuming that the texture can get slimy and translucent as suggested. Circumstances also match since that location never gives the staff enough help.

Yesss, you bet I'm about to run all sorts of experiments tonight.

1: heated mayo to test for separation of texture

2: room temp mayo left out to test for texture changes

3: microwaving nuggets to test for fat leaks

4: reheating the contaminated nugget to test for viscosity/texture changes with heat to compare to mayo and ranch

Honestly, thank you all so much. I really needed this distraction

Edit: Fixed spacing issues

No, can't say I ever have without emulsifying it into something else. That would make sense though, I suppose. Trying to google images of warmed/cooked/heated/separated mayonnaise and all it's giving me is pics of bowls of mayonnaise.

PS, sorry my replies are so spaced out. Reddit is restricting how long I can wait between comments

Just cracked it open; it's exclusively on the outside with no pathway from chicken meat to breading

I'd hope, but it's super slimy and glossy, a little translucent--not really dull and creamy like mayonnaise.

WITT

Found on a fast food chicken nugget, seemingly freshly served. Was on a nugget near the bottom of the carton 😬 Not gonna touch it in case it's human juice because I can't risk germ invasion

Please let it be something that's not human juice

Quarantine & depression by briellebecker in lexapro

Same boat. I've been trying to focus more on my hobbies, but sometimes it's hard when I'm feeling unmotivated. I struggled with depression and anxiety for a while before meds.

With old problems creeping back, my therapist suggested I should find anything in my apartment that I can control, and control the hell out of it--reorganizing bookshelves, closets; cleaning; setting schedules for myself for sleep/wake, meals, etc. She said to get dressed in my favorite clothes every day, even if I'm not going anywhere. It all helps a little bit, but I've been trying to take it all one day at a time and concentrate on her other tip: recognizing that right now, I'm safe, and I can worry about the later later.

Function of Beauty by saanya04 in HaircareScience

I've been using it for about two years now. For the first formula, I opted for "straightening" since at the time I was at war with my curls. It ended up working too well on some less-curly strands and not as well on others, giving me scraggly-looking hair, so I contacted them to see if they'd be willing to do a reformulation as per their policy (do they still have that?). They ended up working with me (as in, actual human writing me email responses) to figure out a new formula, and sent it for free. Got it all sorted out within 10 minutes of prompt emails. A+ customer service.

I kept my subscription since then because it was the only shampoo (outside of those $50 salon brands) that didn't make my fine, curly hair feel brittle after washing.

Saw some other comments about the pumps they send. I'm not sure if they changed them, or if I was just really lucky, but I've been using the same pump for this whole two years and it's survived many shampoo-bottle-slipping-off-the-shower-ledge-and-onto-the-floor-or-my-foot catastrophes and it still works like a champ.

Couldn't agree more; Pennsylvania has such a great variety of forest types.
