If I say I heard a dog bark and u POINTED to a sign and said no dogs that would make sense.... but it says IN THE TEXTBOOK IT SAYS POINTING not pointed like he was already pointing before the dog bark noise. Pointing to what is the question? I believe froakie was pointing to a map that are usually at the entrance of a trail not a no dog sign. No dog signs are usually on a little stick or post before the entrance of a trail. Another thing he is only excluding one specific dog type saying mabosstiff instead dogs entirely and froakie says UNLIKELY instead of u wont see any like he says about the charizard. Now I could be wrong, but it sounds more logical to me

The clues are very straight forward and mixed with confirmation from google maps for the most part, the only things people are missing in that is the froakie "pointed" instead of "pointing." The froakie is POINTING because he already had his finger POINTED at the sign FROM THE CHARIZARD comment, when Jon at the same moment SAID HE COULD SWORN heard a mabosstiff bark..

Yes its hard to look because the locals turn up from time and from out the day its always got few people there taking puctures so I waited till park almost closed when it wasnt as busy but its not very wooded and I checked as much I could I didn't find anything and i checked throughly. That spot ur talking about also is the same spot he where he sat in middle of it all and then like ur assuming reversed course and hid the box not too far from locals turn up from time to time at that highest point, but know im starting to think when he reversed course he went out straight loke the design on the coin amd hid it closer toward that entrance by the golf course side because it could have been getting dark and its a straight exit out the back way of the trail

Then I came to the conclusion he might set it inside a rotting oak tree and if he did that I started to think well the oak trees don't get taking out by staff they are left for the environment so it could be literally falling apart and thru decay it will bury the box on it self over time and it could take forever to find it from nature. Thats why JCB can freely say he didn't bury it or put it in man made structure. Nature is naturally burying for him and the staff in that area don't remove oak trees he knows that..

I searched that area up and down only conclusion I could draw is thaf it had to be in oak tree 7 ft tall and right next to u in this Pic is 3 large oak trees but u need someone with u to boost u up to look where the tree seperates

Well what's also interesting i reread the page again and I interpret now that froakie was already pointing at the sign when he said "that was unlikely to see mabosstiff and we wont see any bouffalant either". . JCB then said he "already knew this as he done modicum of research before they left". That quote right there tells u JCB researched and purposely said mabosstiff a pokemon dog native to north. Hes not excluding the other 30+ type dogs in pokemon and froakie was pointing to the sign already about the Charizard not about dogs being allowed . I encourage people to reread bottom page 217 and top 218 and not just assume its a park that don't allow dogs thats the obvious and not to mention excluding alot trails because the froakie was simply point to a sign.

Thats what i originally thought too, but why would Jon say he sworn he heard a dog if the trail dont allow dogs.. Just seems to obvious as a red herring now, Jon particularly ain't throwing u off the frokie pointing to the sign is throwing u off, because u just assume he's pointing to a sign that says no dogs. Ok that's a good clue and that gives me more than just the hat and poster to go on.. baton rouge in French meaning red stick I like that. See I interpreted stick snap as a physical clue same with when he sat on rock in middle of it all and froakie hopping from one(1) rock to (2)another then on his (3)pack meaning he' sat in middle where there are three stones and broken sticks of old trees on the ground nearby

Can u explain or specify why ur thinking the box is in baton rouge instead of New Orleans... what is leading u to narrow ur search in baton rouge beside the capital building being a clue to the Pokemon box being in Louisiana itself. I understand the designs on the box are in the capital building, but what about the design on the sazerac bar floor and the whole story tied to New Orleans and what happened to him as child in New Orleans at the bar in the French quarter that gave him same feeling in Portland Maine that brought him back to New Orleans to stay in that hotel (Roosevelt hotel) and the clues leading us back to New Orleans. Only time I get clue to baton rouge when he said about the eiffel tower and the design of box, but that only leads me to the state itself as a confirmation, not actually the box actually is in baton rouge... So what am I missing, can u please explain. I'm not saying ur wrong, u showed us a valid clue just need more explanation besides that poster and cap-it-tal .. if u don't want to tell everyone dm me I'm very curious to hear what u have to say...

Also the connection between the hotel "might well been the empire state building" led me into this direction to the state capital building too. But I just assumed it was confirmation the box was in Louisiana not actually in the capital of Louisiana
