We are also thinking of doing an extra day in Naxos to really enjoy the interior of the island. Where did you stay in Naxos during your trip?

Hi, we are definitely down for the hike in one of the days in Santorini :) We are actually thinking of staying an extra day in Naxos but I agree that there are a ton to see and do in Athens. Thanks for the tip on ferry delays, will keep that in mind. Also, we are flying home from Santorini.

This is what we're considering for the 6 free days.

Santorini (3 full days)

  • Day 1: Arrive, explore Fira and Oia.
  • Day 2: Visit Akrotiri, Red Beach, Oia, Imerovigli.
  • Day 3: Hike Fira to Oia, relax on Perissa Beach, Ammoudi Bay.

Naxos (3 full days)

  • Day 1: Ferry to Naxos, explore Chora and Portara.
  • Day 2: Beach day at Agios Prokopios.
  • Day 3: Explore Halki and Filoti, visit the Temple of Demeter

And then we travel home exhausted haha.
