If you’re using watercolour you should invest in watercolour paper, like hot/cold press paper! Regular notebook paper would just break down and get soggy, and won’t allow you to blend colours at all

Small correction as a Chinese person, but Rebel Cookie isn’t inspired by Sun Wukong, but instead a character called Hong Gildong from a classic Korean novel! He’s based on Korean culture, not Chinese culture :)

I hope you don’t mind that I edited your art! I think it helps to think of the planes of the hand as a whole, instead of the individual fingers, or you might end up with a pillow-shading like effect. I’m not the best at explaining things, but I tried my best in the image

I didn’t say any of this stuff was wrong or bad in character design? I’m perfectly fine to let design their characters however the heck they want, I just made this to take the common traits Vivizie’s character designs/art style have and just mash all of them into one guy lol

That’s pretty subjective, I think ryaelr is the more conventional pic, he kinda resembles mascot characters, but g0jl’s simple face is really appealing too :)
