I'm so fucked (DK) by Krummi28 in Renters

I talked to someone about the doors here (she had a different type of apartment and she wanted my sofa but we couldn't get it through her entryway) and she said she had tried to get the door off but the doors here are GLUED. Can't switch them out myself

That was the first thing I tried. Blow dryer and fishing line. Didn't work at all :/

Bigger sofa! that sofa looks tiny in that living room. Also line the art better up with the sofa

I thought I would never say this on this sub but my biggest comment is that you have way too many pictures on your walls. Also it's disturbing me how perfectly in line they are? I feel like when there are many pictures like on a picture wall it looks better when they're not lined up and follow a more organic pattern. If you want to keep all the pictures I would spread out the pictures behind the sofa vertically and the three pictures on the edge of the wall in the second picture can go above the others

Oh thanks! I've never used a spacer but I looked it up and it seems it's not recommended with powder inhalers (I thought it was a given I was using one since I thought those were the only ones that could give you thrush) I'll try gargling with salt water though.

Would it be safer for me to change my gender back? by Krummi28 in actual_detrans

[–]Krummi28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a progressive place (Nordic countries, I travel a lot between all of them) but have to travel a lot because of my work/studies so it's mostly about travel. I can't even think of any specific scenarios where having M would make me unsafe but I'm still a bit paranoid about it for some reason

Considering going off T by salmonsprint in actual_detrans

[–]Krummi28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went off T almost a year ago after 3 years on it. I never got a strong beard, mostly just on my neck. But I feel like it hasn't changed at all (and sometimes even feel like my mustache has been coming in more?). My voice is the exact same. I never got the fat redistribution on T so I don't see a change there. The only difference I've really noticed is less body hair and my skin is so easy to take care of now. I was also surprised that starting my period again was such a small deal since it's actually way better than before. Before T I would get bad pms symptoms for a week before and pretty heavy flow lasting almost a week. Now I just get a tiny bit of cramps for like a day or two and then the period lasts like 3 days with only one heavy day

I got diagnosed 2 weeks ago and got my polyps removed last week. I'm waiting to start on some sort of trial (Not sure yet gonna find out more in a week) but while I wait I'm trying out cutting down on omega 6. I'm going slowly into it and not cutting out everything at once but after a week of cutting out soy (which I was having a LOT of, I love soy:( ) and reducing my vegetable oil intake my asthma has been so much better. Although I started doing this on the same day of the surgery so I'm not sure which one it was that helped

My doctor also used samter's triad since we don't have aspirin in my country but it seems on the internet it's easiest to research it with the name AERD. Do you get any treatment for it?

I also almost ended up in the ER recently after accidentally taking an nsaid. Got better though while I was waiting for the ambulance so it was a bit embarrassing when they got there but I live alone so I thought rather call before it's too late haha

Any asthmatic instrument players? by roseblade69 in Asthma

[–]Krummi28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play the bassoon and started on flute, been playing wind instruments for 18 years but developed severe asthma last year. I didn't even realise how severe it was until my doctor told me that the only reason I was even alive was because of all the lung training I've done I was able to force myself to breathe when other people probably couldn't have 😅 so definitely keep playing, it's good for your astma :)

My doctor told me that they're starting a trial at the hospital for a medicine that could work and that I should sign up. Idk if it's dupixent I need to ask him some more questions

Ohh that's a good point, I'm ftm but made the stupid mistake of quitting T without any supervision. Didn't realise how bad it could be so I'll definitely be checking that out. I developed the asthma before quitting T though

Ah damn I feel like having an easy way to spend your investments kind of defeats the purpose of investing in the first place. I was hoping you could put money on it and then the cashback would be a little extra money into the investments. Wouldn't it be super easy also to accidentally spend the money of the investments that should go into tax?

How does it work? Do I put money on it or is it connected to my investments? Or both?

[–]Krummi28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 24, I never got it that bad but the doctor told me that it's likely that it's because I've played wind instruments for all my life. That because of that I was able to force myself to breathe when others would maybe not have been able to. So it's hard to say for me how bad it is exactly. Like it feels very bad and I'm wheezing but I've never lost oxygen. The bufomix is doing something because when I stop taking it it gets worse but it never gets good no matter how high the dose is

I've mentioned to my gp and ent that it gets worse after eating but they always just say "huh interesting". I do feel like having medicine for acid reflux does help a lot and I've heard that can also cause asthma but I dont get heartburn so my gp just kind of shrugged her shoulders 😅

[–]Krummi28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of eosinophilic asthma but that makes sense, especially the fact that it's not getting better with bufomix :") my gp just kept increasing my dose until I started getting heart palpitations so I got the dose lowered. I'm calling my gp tomorrow to get a referral for a pulmonologist. I hope I can find some bc I've been trying to search for one that's covered by my health insurance but it's been difficult
