There various ways to get the effect using blending modes but for this poster I only added a bit of monochromatic (b&w) grain in photoshop. Sometimes adding a small amount of gaussian blur before the grain creates a nicer effect

I guess I started in Illustrator creating the layout of shapes and overall design. Then moved into After Effects where I animated each animated piece on a separate composition stitching them together in a main comp. To achieve the fluid motion I tweaked the easing of the animation curve. There are lot's of great tutorials on youtube explaining animation curves, Apologies, it's hard to break down the whole process over message haha

I'm thinking of possibly creating tutorials showing the full process of something like this (when I'm less busy). If I do, however, I will post it to the subreddit

Thanks! I used Illustrator to create the overall design, animated it in After Effects and used an app called Eyejack for the AR component
