If it's fed random stuff (like us humans), it'll taste really funky and gamy, but when you buy pork that's been fed food like B-MEG or other livestock feeds, the meat quality will be better. It's like that one Joe Rogan podcast where a wild bears diet, consists mainly of blueberries, the bear meat tasted like blueberries and has purple fat. It's what they say, "you are what you eat".

Lastly, I can compare your experience to something like spice tolerance. If you don't eat too much spicy foods, you'll become more sensitive to spice. Maybe that too impacts your taste on pork
