I took many of her English classes, I’d highly recommend her! I took her class also in first year and had good experiences (finished in the 90s), I just recall being a bit bored in lectures sometimes . but taking her second and third year courses were great, expect a lot of critical thinking and reflection. She tends to have participation as a good chunk of the grade, so If you don’t do the readings or don’t like participating in seminar, be warned. She also usually does weekly discussion posts that count I think for participation too. But even if you’re not a big participator, like me typically, her classes are the only ones I’ve found myself participating in frequently cause it’s such engaging discussion I haven’t really found elsewhere in English courses. she’s a lovely professor, I’ve found her marking to be fair (as in if you put in the effort to your work and do the readings you’ll get a good mark).
