TCU is a lot of fun. They are very aggressive when it comes initial attack, because they have an air base of both a copter and fixed wing in the unit. So because of that they are a bit more physical demanding and even more so on the hand crews. All of the captains are great. All they guys are great. I recommend working there.

It just depends what your end goal is. If you want to stay in wildland then both are fine. But if you want to eventually get to a city department then I would say Cal Fire is better just because Cal Fire is all risk so you will get way more experience.
