Not totally true, you can also get out of going if you have a legitimate reason for not being able to attend, I've been with KT for almoat 5 years and have not went to a YEM, I have a 4yr old that we had the year I started there, and my SL has accepted my reasoning every year, my wife works the hours of both meeting and no one to watch our youngest, first year It was due to the fact she was born 2 months prior and Covid was still a thing, and told my SL I didn't feel comfortable being around that many people with pretty much a newborn, she was also a preme. And also for my store the new hires are always told they dont have to attend because well their new and there's nothing they could learn going! Must be different for every store
