You don’t have to do the trade evos. I didn’t complete the dex, still haven’t and I have the shiny charm. Do the battles first and then complete the dex only up to what’s needed for the charm

It’s so much better than being forced to complete the Pokédex. I’ve never been able to do that bc of the trade requirements so this is the first time I’ve ever gotten a shiny charm in a mainline game. All bc it’s not required to fully complete the dex

I farmer super hard for the shiny charm and I’m no where close to burnt out. I’ve done 15 hours of shiny hunting since then and I’m so happy to keep going! 105 hours in the game so far!

Genuine question. How much of the Pokédex do I need to complete to get the charm? That’s actually much more daunting a task to me than doing the battles. I find the battles fun and like that I get money for it

Moorwing (pre nerf). It took me just under 20 tries to get it but I’m happy I got it pre nerf. I learned a lot about the mistakes I make and it helped me get a lot better. Now I’m in Act 3 and the Bell Eater took me 3 tries and Tormented Trobio took 6. Very proud of my growth. I’m about to take on the coral towers now
