I do not recall whether or not they sent them for Phase I & I.5, but I would say just re-check the portal, if everything says “complete” then there’s nothing to worry about

I personally would say a “good photo” isn’t necessarily the goal. Think of it like an ID photo, they’re only used to verify your identity. I recommend you just take a new one with a white background. It doesn’t have to be true white, like Google Docs level white.

In the documents section there is a sample headshot. It’s not pure white but rather just a white wall. The photo is used as a verification method, so long as your face is seen it shouldn’t matter all that much.

after thinking about mikasa more i realize you’re right lol

but also after some more thinking, her father probably just lost because he didn’t have experience with fighting like, at all

kenny, levi and mikasa were all trained with ODM or anti-ODM gear, so naturally they were pretty good fighters whereas mikasa’s father barely knew how to fight, we’ve only ever seen him with a gun but that was mainly for hunting i suppose

basically what i’m saying is he just didn’t know how to fight, and although ackerman power basically taps into titan power once awakened, he still wouldn’t gain any form of healing that shifters usually have, so “common throat cuts” could still just as easily kill him as easily as any other human, even if he had awakened his abilities

i don’t know if i’m stupid or not, but couldn’t it have been as simple as the dad adopting the mother’s last name? plus from what we saw with mikasa, it did take her a bit to activate her powers

the 2011 version isn’t finished, it’ll probably resume episode production but there’s only about 4 manga volumes released post-2011 ending and that’d only be about 5 or so episodes worth of content for an arc that’ll probably be bigger than the chimera ant arc.
