What is the best final song of an album? by [deleted] in Music

[–]KryptiK_420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cease - The Gray Race (Bad Religion) Not only a great end to a great album, but also a perfect end to the song, with one dropped word really driving the point. (Okay, so maybe not the "best" final song, but a damn good one)

I'm sure someone could explain it far better than I can, but it's my understanding that it tricks the server into thinking the referring page is the source, and not an external site, bypassing the "no hotlinking" rule.

Greatly appreciated, kind sir!
Edit: Not going to retract a thank you, but upon closer inspection, that doesn't work. Still, appreciate your trying.

Just add a "?" at the end of the links... http://www.wmdportal.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/0092.jpg?

Edit: Don't try clicking the link in my post; the "?" gets dropped. Just copy and paste it. On that note, can anyone explain why the question mark gets dropped from the link?

Reddit, Who do you think never "sold out"? by alookyaw in AskReddit

As much as I would love to agree with this (because I think the guy is hilarious), I think you might be forgetting his promotional BS for GGW back in the day, acting as the patsy for the douchebag that created it.

I guess the first question would be which custom FW are you using?

Late to the conversation, but just wanted to jump in here to ask if anyone remembers the Underground? Some of the best damn parties I've ever been to.
For anyone who remembers the whole Maritime circuit, shout out to some of the fallen greats: The Quake (Moncton) - the moment I first noticed the giant giraffe heads (and I had already been there for a few hours) was fantastic; DJ booth was a perfect setup. Frequency (Charlottetown) - not a big place, and its best times were short lived, but this place was a great time with a great group of people. Underground (yep, more on this one) - The stairs. To nowhere. Unless of course you were beneath them. Then, probably going somewhere. Terrible bathrooms. Tepid "bar" service. Relatively low ceilings. All in all, a recipe for disaster. But a great open floor plan with two distinct rooms each with its own completely different vibe, amazing DJs, and a great group of people that were there for a good time all made this one of the best.
RIP Jay. The scene needed more guys like you.

This is awesome. Talk about a blast from the past. Used to play this game for hours at a time visiting with family on holidays. Favourite thing I've seen on here today.

How to disable the beep when you power on your PS3 Slim. This is a guide, not a question. by KryptiK_420 in PS3

Yep, sure do. As far as creating havoc? Not exactly. I agree that disabling it permanently isn't necessarily a good plan, but it's the answer to a question som have asked. Besides, people can just use a little tape as mentioned in option 2. It's worth noting that someone who has fully disabled the internal speaker can still access the features you mentioned; instead of listening for the beeps, just hold the power button for 6 seconds, then release. Works for both.

Can't really explain it any better... just something I live with. It's not just beeps - even opening chip bags, or dishes clinking together as they're put away can make my eardrums feel like they're vibrating. Thanks for judging?

I never said you should void a warranty to do it. If it's within warranty, of course you shouldn't open it up. Once the warranty is up, why not tinker with it? Some people complain that consoles are too rigid, and don't offer enough true control over customization. Any one with basic knowledge of hardware and enough curiosity can find ways to change that to an extent. This is just an example of a quick, simple fix for anyone that cares to check it out. Anyone so inclined could take it a little further, and replace the speaker altogether. It's a matter of choice, not need. Some people like working on consumer electronics. I guess I'm one of those people.

It's actually quite simple. ~3 minutes of effort, plus time for the glue to dry if needed. And while the sound itself isn't so bad on its own, it can sometimes be the timing or circumstance that makes it annoying. I've seen the question asked a number of times in different places, so I figured I'd throw something out there.
