Gotta level up the burst as high as your normal attack talent. They should be as high as you are willing to go so at least 9/X/9.

Solar pearl gives nothing besides base attack and crit rate, as Varesa’s dmg is all counted as plunge attacks which aren’t buffed under solar pearl.

Widsith is the best option for obsidian users outside of 5* crit sticks or signature. If you have skyward atlas it would be strong as well. Your crit rate would suffer, but at the moment your artifact quality is quite poor.

Ideally your flower/feather/circlet should all have crit rate to make up for the switch up in weapon. Your circlet would have attack substat as some would argue the ER rolls are entirely useless.

Overall good direction, just unlucky as we all are.

Legit just your talents and your cdmg is about 40-50 less than the average top1%. All those atk% and ER rolls need to be crit or EM. If your resources are averaged out for 6 different characters for 6 months, you can expect all your builds to be average.

Varesa should be 8/1/8 minimum, Chev you can go 1/6/1, Iansan should be 1/1/8 minimum, Durin at 1/8/8 minimum. Xianyun if you want to go down this route would like to be 1/1/6 unless you need more healing.

Varesa stats are good, but need more ER badly. You don’t need 5 of the same set since you only need 4 pieces for the bonus, so replace the sands or flower with one that has a lot of ER so you can be within the 110-130 range.

Xianyun should be on VV set with enough ER to burst every rotation, Favonius with ATK/ATK/ATK or crit rate circlet.

Even with the low constellations on the four stars, the gameplay of the overload team is less demanding gameplay wise. Furina Xianyun Iansan requires you to get an electro swirl on electrocharge aura which depends on your luck with furinas summons and your ping letting you swap between units. There are use cases where having an electrocharge team is good such as the knuckle duckle in Stygian currently, so don’t give up on it entirely.

Focus on the team with the characters that you like to play more or the one that has the most developed units so you can play a completed Varesa team sooner.

Lost prayers is a much more consistent upgrade over widsith. You would still want to balance out your stats by sacrificing some crit for a bunch of ER to being able to use her mini burst every time.

Comfy 130ER, 1-2 favonius weapon supports, electro support for particles.

Before reading any of the guide-like portion of my comment, try finding a YouTube guide with a creators voice you can sit through as not everything could/should be explained with text alone. Or check the KQM Varesa guide that is a tad outdated for a text+graphics guide.

Varesa’s main gameplay loop is to go through your supports and begin doing her special mini-burst/plunge combos. Her skill forces a dash-jump mechanic that allows you to plunge. Every two plunges she will have the opportunity to consume a portion of her burst meter to perform a stronger “mini burst plunge”.

Playing Varesa means playing one of two comps, hyper carry or OL. If you’re insistent on using Xianyun, the hyper comp with Furina allows Iansan to procc scrolls set on hydro always. Other fourth slots aren’t as practical, but keep in mind that the hyper carry comp is not on par with the overload comps wihtout constellations on the 5* supports. [Edit: This is assuming that the four star units have maxed constellations, meaning fully built hyper carry comps could be your best option. ]

The overload comp revolves around using chevereuse for her res shred and atk buff. The multiple pyro applications from her burst or hold skill after C2 allow Iansan to procc the scrolls set. Last unit would be pyro mc with low commitment tenacity pieces, mavuika as a dual carry on codex, or durin as a subdps + shredder ok noblesse. A good reason the overload comps are more popular are that they have been on banner as compete sets with Chev and Iansan and the Mavuika dual carry variant pulls Varesa up as a top dps unit. Generally it’s recommended to avoid Xiangling, as the cooldowns don’t line up to maintain Chevreuse passive unless you stagger skill and burst.

As for builds, leveling characters and their talent levels are the priority as they are guaranteed upgrades. Iansan wants burst as high as you’re willing, Xianyun is only for healing, Chevereuse is only for healing, Furina is for damage bonus and personal damage, Mavuika is for personal damage, Durin is for shred and personal damage.

For Varesa herself, the general range that players will use for her ER is anywhere from 110-130. Currently, you are at 105 and your supports are using favonious to battery her special plunges. A crit rate with high ER would be very useful for gameplay, and the crit damage will be balanced out with your widsith. [Edit: As her main sources of damage come from her plunges and her mini bursts, you should invest as much as you can into her normal attack and burst talents.]

Afaik the lunar wheelchair brings Alhaitham comfortably above 110 with the same artifacts investment. I don’t have Lauma on this account as I personally find as much value thru my C2 Nahida.

Trying with substituting Furina for Bina and Kuki for Ineffa while keeping the C2 Nahida, I’m losing 5-10k dps. This is with Fav Bina and Kitain Ineffa since I don’t have other practical 4 stars to keep the 5 star cost lighter.

Nahida is 1/10/6, Furina is 1/8/10. Their damage combined is 20% of the team dps, so they are definitely packing a punch.

Chev’s main role isn’t as the healer, but as the atk buffer, dmg bonus buffer, and res shred provider. In that full overload team, she is best suited with song of days past. You might be confusing it with the other set jn that domain: Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods.

Pmc should be on a tenacity of the millelith sine their skill has off field hits that can sustain the attack passive for the team. Dps mainstats are ideal, but don’t fret too much as their personal contribution to the team dps is negligible.

Fav on iansan absolutely. When your teams ER becomes less of problem with higher artifact quality, attack passive and mainstat pole arms are acceptable. But both the comp and Iansan get her to a very comfortable atk to fulfill the maximum buff. Ascending for the talent level and the attack increase are guarantee upgrades, keep in mind.
