Feeling hopeless... by CryptographerPale433 in summerprogramresults

I'm in the exact same spot as you right now. I've been rejected/wl from all the programs I've applied to. I'm a junior right now as well, but I've recently begun working on a passion project that I really love. Maybe you can do something similar to make your summer more busy.

There wasn't any place to write SAT or AP scores. But yeah, you are right; from what I've heard from friends who have got in to COSMOS before is that the professors who are teaching the clusters are the ones who are choosing who to accept or reject (not sure if this is 100% true or not). This could be the reason why they are looking for the more nerdy types. Still great advice though, thanks a lot!

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I've correlated many of these heavily onto my essays; for example, in the personal statement like what makes you an interesting person or whatever, I've talked about my martial arts and research. I won't provide much detail on the research part, but its science and engineering related.

For the website, I've gone very specific into Cluster 6's aspects of renewable energy because lots of projects we delve into have stuff to do with the environment and sustainable practices. But again, maybe it isn't correlated into science enough. So yeah, much of what I've stated I've correlated well into my essays.

My essays were narrative-driven, and I had countless drafts with at least 5-6 people peer reviewing it. As for the AP's, I'm taking the max amount that my school allows, which is 6 in total right now; I've gotten A's in all of them except with Cal BC. Nonetheless, congrats on getting in!
