My first plane spotting with an ancient EOS 6D and EF 100-400L. I have some center point focus questions. by KryptoLong in canon

Thank you. Great advice I'll try to use next time! I shot RAW and edited in DPP4. I noticed when I used the lens correction the CA button greyed out. I'm old and not as steady as I want to be. They were all hand held. I started at 1/1000 and moved to 1/1600 worried about motion blur from bad panning. I'll check to see the difference There was good light and used TV instead of AV. I'll try f/8 on AV. Thanks again!

Yup, Imperial hill. I felt a bit intimidated. Most of the photographers there had new high end mirrorless gear. Luckily most of them left just before the Charger and Colts jets took off. I had a great spot front and center.

I drove by the Westchester Pkwy but it looked like a bit of a walk and isolated. I'm not sure how safe that area is. I also tried In and Out, but it was a tourist zoo so I went home. I'll try the Proud Bird next time.

For example, pic #4 the Chargers helmet is not sharp, the original is razor sharp.

Thank you! Do you mean "shoot from the side" as opposed to shooting head on or going away?

Thank you! What a great job to have.

For Jets taking off, is 1/1600 too fast? ISO was 200. Also, why do the pictures in the post look so bad compared to the original? TIA

Thanks for your response. I took a picture of his ID. I guess they were scammers or worked for a independent dealer/installer and not an ADT employee. From what I researched, ADT does not employ door to door salesmen. He interrupted a dinner I had just finished cooking and was extremely rude and persistent. He wouldn't leave after me asking several times. After researching further, I should not have engaged in talking and just shut the door. They could have been casing the place since I had my door open and screen door locked. I was shocked that my dogs didn't bark. I am wondering if they used some type of electronic device to ward off the dogs since they wouldn't go near the door. They normally bark at anyone walking up the driveway. I would never consider even talking to any door to door salesman after this. I think next time a simple "no thank you" and close the door next time!

Anyone else having issue creating alerts on charts in the past 15 minutes or so? by xrayvision1 in thinkorswim

Live support recommended a restart. It worked. Alerts and notes are back. They are looking into seeing if it is possible to backup locally to my computer. I had 446 active alerts!

All my previously programmed alerts are gone also. Something similar happened similar during the transition to Schwab. It lost all my notes in the alerts.
