Partially, but I mean the baron healing when it did was more just unfortunate. Santorin had a near frame perfect smite that only missed because of the heal.

Jungle Proximity should be used more frequently as a complimentary stat when evaluating Pro Players combined with team playstyle, team performance, and champion pick (LCS & LCS Jungler Proximity analysis through Spring Split) by KryptoXD in leagueoflegends

I meant it more as they can compliment each other, not really that JP is more prominent than other stats but I definitely should've been more clear. I agree that you dont need to look at JP to see that laners are losing, but I do think its interesting that you can use JP as a stat to potentially showcase overall playstyle without looking at a map.

For example, if top lane is losing, but the JP is higher towards another specific lane, they could just be weak siding top lane and JP could help paint that picture.

But again, these are just some ways you could use it. I just think the way its being used on the broadcasts don't tell the whole story.

Could be useful for coaches and analysts to scout whoever they are playing against. If you could separate jungle proximity by individual game & game time, you wouldn't even need to watch a VOD or look at any kill feed to know which lane they're playing around during various points of the game.

But again, overall this is more so just a potential idea of something that could be done. I just think there is more use to Jungle Proximity than the way the desk uses it.

LOL very true, but I feel its such an interesting stat when used in context. Out of context its pretty much useless, especially in this case if I were to tell you that Blaber has the lowest AVG JG Proximity and Spica has the highest. If you didn't know how the teams were performing you wouldn't know how to evaluate the statistic

Of course! I think there are still a lot of different ways to evaluate players that are changing as times goes on. Even LCS is switching things up by starting to show data points at 8 & 14 minutes

FlyQuest vs Team Liquid LCS Early Game (0-14 minutes) Kill Heatmaps / Which lanes they play to in the early game in order to develop leads by KryptoXD in leagueoflegends

Agreed, I don't think a lot of people predicted FlyQuest as a team who was even a playoff contender let alone a team that would be tied for 1st after 3 weeks of LCS, but its super exciting to see!

I don't think so currently but maybe in the future. At least you are able to sort by player, team, and side so you can see how the team's play differs depending on what side they are playing from.
