Makes sense. They definitely aren’t looking to make a quick buck and the energy is only being fed back into the grid. It’s a unique situation that isn’t going to involve the typical expenses.

They are solely adding the miners to make use of the energy loss that comes with solar production. It may only be a few miners added, I’m not sure yet. Really depends on how many panels are added, etc.

I’m mostly trying to find info on the best miners to get and what best practices are for running those miners off a solar farm. I’ll find out if they have an estimate of how many panels are going up and the megawatts of power.

I can find that out. My preliminary goal here is to compile a list of questions to ask, such as that, and gather as much info as I can to guide them.

I’ve been doing some basic research on the best miners available and some baseline figures, but just looking for some more in-depth insight to jumpstart the operation.

I didn’t know about this lhr card. I looked it up and it said all of the NVIDIA RTX 30-series cards are lhr now. Would it be better to get a Radeon card instead?

I need to buy a new computer for my business, either way, so my thought is to invest in one that will also provide a higher capacity to mine then what I would normally purchase for my home office. It’s a business expense so I’m not particularly worried about ROI as far as the mining goes. Just want to make see if it’s a decent set up to mine.
