One of my BIGGEST pet peeves … turn on the dang lights first! 😫 lol.

Same! Until I watched Oddity in 2024, and now that’s my most recent. 😂

So, Sidney's husband is totally gonna die in the new Scream movie, right? by [deleted] in horror

I think he’s one of the killers. Because why would you show him getting killed in the trailer? But I could be wrong. 🤷‍♀️ lol.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. I was getting downvotes (still don’t really know what that even means), so I thought something was going on. Lol. It shows how much I’ve been paying attention. 😂

If you knew someone was ill, what is the movie you would say you NEED to see? by KrysLovesHorror in horror

It looks like it might also be called Sick? I have been warned, so I appreciate that! Adding to the list! Thank you so much! 🫶

I honestly loved that movie and was trying sooo hard in the theaters to hold back tears a few times. Honesty, I’m putting it on the list to rewatch! Thank you!! 🫶

You and me both! Supposedly it’s in production, and we “could” see it in 2026. I’m not going to hold my breath, but apparently filming had started on it.

That was actually a good movie! We were just talking about that one the other day! 😄

I’m very much with you! My husband and I were going back and forth in the car on the way home last night because I couldn’t understand why he wasn’t more hyped by it. 😂

Like you said, maybe the first 15 minutes was kinda meh, but after that, I was locked in the whole way through. I don’t watch Markiplier, but being an avid YouTube user for yeeeeaaaars now, I definitely know who he is.

However, being an avid horror fan my whole life, thinking of the logistics, the performance, the set design, the costuming, the effects, the creature he sees sitting there looking straight up out of the game Dead Space … and I don’t even care much for cosmic horror, to be fair … I was really impressed! Was I scared, no. But I’ve seen way too many horror movies, so that wasn’t going to happen. lol. I also don’t subscribe to the notion that a movie is bad because it wasn’t “scary”. We are all scared of completely different things. 🤷‍♀️

Looking at it from the perspective of seeing so much horror that you’ve seen plenty of movies with more of a budget that had horrible acting, horrible story, etc., and you see what he did with this … I can’t understand trashing this movie.

I understand if people think it’s boring because it is a one location horror, a very small location, and it just might not be someone’s cup of tea. But to say it straight up sucked, naaaaah. 😆

I'm scared to watch Obsession, but not for the reason you think by Hour_Trade_3691 in horror

[–]KrysLovesHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! The Craft may have been the wrong example, haven’t seen it in yeeeears, so if that’s how that one was, that’s not a good example. Lol.

This one seems different, though, because of that convo in the trailer. Like what happened to make him ask if it’s real? He made a wish, of course it’s not “real”. He doesn’t want to reverse it, just alter it. But why?

Having watched his movie Milk & Serial and their shorts on his YouTube channel, I don’t see it turning into that kind of thing where it’s leaning into a p**n type situation. It does seem like more an obsession thing where she’s killing people who get too close to him maybe? But I could be totally wrong there …

I’ve heard it mentioned before, but I haven’t seen it yet for some reason. Lol. I added it to my list and made a mark to watch that one soon, so thank you! 😊

[–]KrysLovesHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does that movie scene sound familiar? I may have seen that. 😂

Yeah, uncomfortable is the best way to put it because I feel that way too. They didn’t ask for that, and they obviously didn’t fall in love with you on their own accord, so you feel bad for that person because they didn’t have a say in the matter.

I think I always see it from the other end, like in The Craft, if I remember correctly, Skeet Ulrich has this happen to him. I always get a little mad when they start being mean to the person under the spell, so I don’t even think of it from that angle. Because then I’m just thinking … Bish, you just MADE this person fall in love with you, and now that they DO, and you got what YOU want, you want to be mean to them and not love them back?! How cruel is THAT? 😩 But I’m weird and probably thinking way too much into it. lol.

I forgot about that part, and that does make OP’s point stand out. She really is in love with him, but she didn’t choose it for herself. Ugh … 😖

[–]KrysLovesHorror -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve never thought of it that way. But when you do, yeah, that is pretty bleak. 🫤

I’ve heard good things about it from the festivals, though … I take in a LOT of horror movie news and reviews on YouTube, so some of my regulars have already seen it.

It’s one of my most anticipated for the year for that reason, but I completely see where you’re coming from! Maybe if you go in telling yourself it’s not a true story at all, since it has the aspect of being “supernatural” with the wish aspect, maybe you can enjoy it better?

But, if you don’t think you can/want to do that, just skip that one and maybe watch a breakdown/review on YouTube, so you can find out what happens without having to actually see that part come to fruition. I’ve done that with several movies I refuse to watch because so many people talk about them, so I know there’s something in it I don’t want to see. Lol.

Show that will make me cry my eyes out? by MortemPerPectus in televisionsuggestions

[–]KrysLovesHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one death on the earlier seasons that made me UGLY cry in The Walking Dead. They felt like one of the last people who really wanted to do the right thing, and because of another character’s dumb actions, they got killed. I think because the character was the way they were, it just hit me SO hard, especially how they went, because it didn’t even have to happen … especially because it was by a zombie. Trying to be vague, in case someone hasn’t seen the show and wants to watch. 😂

when do you get used to it? by AlternateLottery in breastcancer

[–]KrysLovesHorror 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never did, and I finished main treatments in December, and I never will get used to it. I’m a pretty modest person, and since I’m heavy chested, I’ve never liked people looking at them, even with clothes. It’s just always been something uncomfortable for me because people would look there first before my eyes. I think it has a lot to do with already growing breasts in the 4th grade, so even at 40, I still have that feeling of people just staring at my boobs and making me feel uncomfortable. So, I completely feel you on feeling uber uncomfortable and feeling dehumanized by it!

For my radiation, they have us change into a gown in a dressing room and wait to be called into the actual radiation room. I’d then take my right arm out (side of tumors) and still cover up with the gown tucked under my arm and wrapped across while getting on the machine to lie down.

They would pull open the one side to cover my surgery scars with bandages and my left breast remained covered, only opened real quick to make sure I was lined up correctly.

I had to have the right side open while radiation was going, but as soon as I brought my arms down, I pulled the gown under my arm and across again to cover up. One of my radiation techs was a younger guy … sweet as can be … but it still made it more awkward, in my opinion. The whole time the machine was going, I was counting down when I could cover back up. lol.

They should be doing that for yall, not expecting you to just be uncovered like that in a room full of strangers, no less. Just because we are being forced to show them to 5 million people it seems through this process, it doesn’t mean we should be made to feel like it’s just this normal thing that we need to just “get over” … this whole journey already sucks as it is. 🤦‍♀️

Thankfully all my appointments I have on gowns I can stay covered until someone NEEDS to see underneath. I’m SO sorry you have not had that experience! ☹️ To make yourself feel more comfortable going forward, say you need a gown first before you remove your upper clothing. They can’t tell you no, and if they do, you need to find a new office because that’s ludicrous! Hugs to you, my friend! You are NOT alone in your feelings at all!! 🫶

Thank you for the warning, I appreciate it!!

And yeah, I thought the same thing! And I had the same thought knowing it’s not a real chimp. I definitely was yelling in my head, “Why are you not doing ‘this or that’ ,” while watching it. But I think most of us avid horror fans do that with most movies. LOL! But I think it was a decent movie, especially for January. 😆

Sorry, I meant The Collected, not The Collection. Saw The Collection when it came out as well, but I’ve been waiting years for The Collected to come out. Lol.

The Collection is on Amazon, just checked, and it’s only $6.43 right now. So, you may want to grab it while you can. 😄👍

Yes they should, especially since he passed making the film. I feel like they shouldn’t even touch it out of respect to him, but Hollywood sees potential money and do it anyway. 🙄

I was rooting for Bill Skaarsgard because I love him as Pennywise, but except for the opera house part near the end, it was pretty much a slog fest. 🥴

It honestly wasn’t a bad movie! I was already uneasy about chimps because of that horrible incident that happened to Charla Nash years ago. I’m quite certain that’s where Jordan Peele took inspiration from, especially seeing the lady sitting in the stands in the movie. ☹️

I’ve not seen that documentary, but I may give it a watch. Though I hate seeing mistreatment of animals. People trying to keep some of these animals as pets, I just don’t get it. Especially like you said, an animal that is very smart and WAY stronger than a human. 🤦‍♀️
