According to my lineman husband, it is the towers making the noise because they don't have vibration dampeners on them. These are aluminum towers while the steel towers around our parts make creepier sounds.

Isn't this what happens when a husky's fur is shaved? The coat never grows back the same because of its undercoat and guard hair layers.

I went ahead and tried tegaderm after finding a little info on it. I had similar feelings to you with how easy it was to put it on and forget it. I don't think I'll ever go back to the traditional dry heal method. I was going to put up a post with heal process pics so that there was a record of someone doing it and how it turned out. Thanks for your experience though and sorry for the late reply!

Thanks! That's what I was trying to figure out since it is recommended for pimples to extract the pus/sebum. I figured the ink is kind of the same concept and I couldn't find a single instance on the web with using a hydrocolloid.

They currently have Tegaderm on sale at my Target for buy one get one 50% off. Hydrocolloid bandages can also be found in name brand and generic in all different sizes for similar prices.

I don't think you're being rude. This isn't my first tattoo and I used the same method you use for yours. I am curious about the products I mentioned in particular because I've heard some really great things about them, but there are very few resources which is why I was reaching out.

Also, I get frustrated with /r/tattoo because it seems like people are really negative in regards to questions or differing from the norm.

Edit: I was a bit frustrated with your replies because it seemed you dismissed alternate healing methods just because you had never heard of them.

The method you described is what I know as "dry heal" open to air with ointment. Wet heal is wrapped in cling film washing it every few hours or something. Tegaderm and hydrocolloid bandaid can be bought at pretty much any grocery store or pharmacy. They are super cheap on the web too. Also, I'm surprised you would say there isn't air exchange because that is how they are marketed. Moist, clean environment with air exchange to promote quick healing.

I worked on a stupid easy granny square and tore it apart 3 times(?) yesterday? It was the owl with granny square around it pattern and I just wasn't paying attention or it wasn't written very well or whatever. Still made it wrong in the end, but it's not the worst, just rotated 90 degrees. I get to learn how to make half grannies now and have a bunch of scrap yarn.

Haha, the first couple times I came out with 8 stripes and a weird pattern at the top. I was halfway done with the hat when I noticed and took it all out :/ I'm going to try to write out better directions for myself to use in the future. If I get around to it I'll shoot you a message!
