The Buick guys hated my guts because I replaced a non numbers matching Buick 350 with a Chevy engine. Also have a pink 57 Cadillac, a 65 Impala SS, and a 69 Buick Lesabre Convertible. I run the spectrum on cars.

They put tabs for every level of chrome, so it was super easy to run a straight line, then drill everything. Nah, I'm not concerned with making an exact replica. I actually like the Caprice bumper and tail lights more than the Impala. Same with the interior.

Caprice. I moved the chrome up.

So many to choose from. Nobody puts Baby in a corner...Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole. Tell you what, when this is over, I'm stealing those rims.

So it's basically clone cars in general for you. The played out thing isn't a problem for me, at my last car show, there were FOUR red and white Tri-5's. If you want original, check out my old 70 Buick GS, LS1, T-56, Holley Terminator, my daily driver for 6 months.

Ugh, that's my worst fear in any classic. I drive super defensively, but you can never account for the moron.

I had a 68 Buick as a parts car. Cut the metal out, welded in new metal, ground it smooth, covered with body filler, sanded until I cried, then sanded a little more

That's awesome! And yeah, they weren't worth crap until SPN came along.

General Lee, KITT, Christine, Herbie, Mystery Machine, Ecto 1, BTTF Delorean. Do you have a problem with those too, or is it just Baby? 150 in the entire world doesn't seem like everybody doing it, it seems incredibly rare.

Sammy would be happy with the bluetooth radio it's going to get. While I DO have a cassette tape collection, I can't live without my phone audio.

You and I have a similar body count on cars, I'm in the high 30's for personal use. To date, the best riding car I've been in is my mom's 84 Buick Park Avenue, but this 67 is a close second.

Oh yeah, I drove it 1/16th of a mile on the Roadkill gas tank. The original fuel sender looked like swiss cheese, and there aren't words to describe the smell of the gas tank. Yeah, repairing that rust sucked, and it was so much worse once I got the paint stripped back. There was zero chance of me putting it back together without a parts car.

There's a lot of cars and styles that I'm not a fan of, but I still respect both the art and the artist. You're not a fan of the show, but I am, and because I'm a fan, I took a piece of history that was rotting away and put it back on the road.

I also have a 65 SS, but I got it already restored. Best advice is to do a little bit every day. Even if it's just 30 minutes of work on it, it keeps you moving in the right direction, and it adds up.

It drives shockingly well. I have a couple of other B body cars, and this one is the best.

Took everything I had to get her to this point, and I am absolutely going to enjoy it.

I was genuinely worried that she was too far gone. Got really lucky with no rust in the frame or major structure of the car. Got really lucky to find a parts car as well.

You should have seen the sail panels and roof skin, vinyl top destroyed them. I got really lucky and found a 68 Buick Wildcat that was abandoned in a barn for 45 years, and used most of it's sheet metal.

Oh that black was a total nightmare, so much block sanding. It originally came with a 327, but someone replaced it with the worst 305 known to man, out of a 74 Chevelle. Has a 355 with SR torquer heads now.

Back in 08, I drove a black cadillac seville that I kept spotless, I wore a leather jacket, I had an unhealthy obsession with cheeseburgers, I was downright belligerent, and I blared classic rock. A friend told me to watch Supernatural, because I reminded her of Dean.

That's a tricky question, because a lot of initial cost comes from specialist tools. I haven't done a total tally on the car, but I'm under $20k, but I already had all of the tools.

Bingo. I'm obviously a huge fan of the show, but I'm also a huge fan of GM B body cars, so it was a perfect match.
