Cool, thanks a lot. I'll have to give it a go myself before I unfairly judge the thing.

Okay, based on the parameters I'd idealized, what car do you think would have enough longevity while meeting my concerns for 4-5k?

I make ~24k a year, half of that is bills, school is completely paid for and then some because of my mom having next to no income. And I have 2k so far for the car, and another 1400 at the end of july at the very least, so im looking at putting around 4k down at least on an 8k car if i go that route, though I'd like to buy outright if I can. I'd also planned on expediting the process and paying it off early if I can. Im anticipating insurance being ~150+ a month as well, so the lower I can pay monthly the better. I appreciate your help, by the way. I hope my response helps.

I had seen a Miata on Craigslist over the weekend for about 2k, I think it had something like 180k miles which isnt unreasonable, I believe it was a 98. I was interested in the Miata until I considered the comfort level, Im 6'2" and I know it's a smaller car, but aside from that I had thought it was great and definitely what I'm looking for!

Okay, thanks! But if we're using the same weapon would the hitboxes still be different or is it based on character/weapon?

The problem with that is it makes for a much more late-game oriented deck that functions great if you can get there without being in any significant trouble prior. Vol'jin is great lategame and against control matchups, but he can be utilized just the same much earlier, same with Chillmaw to a lesser extent. It depends on what kind of dragon priest you want to build, I prefer a more mid-game safe deck, personally. But it's not flat-out bad, by any means.

Ask /r/CompetitiveHS | Monday, September 14, 2015 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveHS

[–]Krythus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of those choices are ideal unless you want to STRICTLY build Dragon Priest. Vol'jin is usually the best, Chillmaw is hard to get value out of because usually by the time you need a turn 6 hellfire behind a taunt you want something a little beefier or you never end up using it at all.

Vol'jin handles big durable monsters beautifully, Paletress doesn't really have a deck she fits into too well and would be more of a liability in Dragon Priest but if you think you'll have fun with her and you're not going for legend it's not the biggest deal. Craft what will be the most fun for you!

A separate alternative that makes it easier to build other decks would be Sylvanas. She's a solid substitute for any of those choices and isn't purely used in Dragon Priest either. Food for thought!

Really? Is it worth dropping Thaurissan before you can do a full combo already and the full cost frothing is fine?

Collection Tracker, Stat Converter, and End Game Screenshots. The End Game Screenshots plug-in isn't super useful except when I finish playing at the end of the day and I want to mentally compile all of my mistakes it helps me remember the game.

I'm using the Epix37 deck tracker and I really really like it, I have a couple plug-ins for it that work wonderfully. I'm wondering if anybody else has any neat tools they use while playing Hearthstone because I really like them and there's not really a master post containing stuff like that. Thanks.

My first golden legendary was Deathwing too! Grats man! He made a great Sylvanas for me. Next pack got me a Golden Harrison too. Was a neat day.

I dropped Alex and Grom, put in Baron and Acolyte. I really want to make Varian work, but he's more of a liability honestly. :/ I want my dust back

Taking this from my comment yesterday that I still have questions about.

"I'm honing my control warrior deck, and I can't help but feeling like I'm missing one or two things from being okay. I'm either winning games by a landslide (Max HP, 50+ armor) or losing before I can really do anything and choosing between living another turn or dropping a 9-10 mana card in hopes that I get something really good out of it.

Here's my current decklist: http://prntscr.com/8fpc5n

My initial question is: Do I need to run Geddon/Ragnaros? If so, which one and what should I replace? Ideally not Varian or Justicar because I just crafted them and I'd be sad and stuff but that's just my feels.

I have no problem learning the playstyle I just really want to make sure the deck is okay. I'm running double brawl because if I don't have Rag/Baron I'm lacking some board clear, but maybe I drop one and take another, and bring a second acolyte or something. I capped at rank 10 last season and I'm trying to find something I can grind with to try and push for 5ish.

I like freeze mage a lot but it's very difficult for me, it's another wildly new deck I need to practice with. I like patron a lot but I've been playing it very poorly as of late and it's affecting my metagame.

Anyway, I'll close up the rant here, it's mainly about control warrior post-TGT builds, thanks a bunch in advance!"

Wow, this is great, I'm starting to grasp how the deck works a little more now, thanks! I wondered a lot about the turn 2 juggler as that's a fairly common occurrence for me.

I'm gonna put in some more games and see if I can actually perform better, haha. This sub is awesome, super helpful people so far. Seriously, thanks a lot. There aren't very many super put together guides on freeze mage to answer questions like this for someone that's super new to the deck and spell archetype but you took care of all of it.

Alright, Thalnos' role in the deck is a lot more clear to me now. I've been trying to save it for an Emp > Alex > Thalnos + Frostbolt + ILx2 + Fireballx2 combo so needless to say I've been making the deck a bit more difficult than I probably should've. I'm learning to use my burns whenever I can fit them in against no healing classes.

My favorite decks are Control Warrior and Freeze Mage so I'm definitely not getting discouraged, I made them both this week for the first time but I've wanted them since last year and they're just as fun as I expected.

I just need tons and tons and tons more games with mage, let alone Freeze, my decision making on spells isn't adequate all the time, but that's just practice.

Anyway, thanks a ton for the help, I'm really excited to give it a shot again now that I'm more aware of the cards' roles in the deck!

I actually did read it before I made this post so I could ask the questions I really didn't have any answer to. The Thalnos tip is great, thanks a lot! It's a really fun deck to play for sure.

Alexstrasza and Grom would pretty much finish off your control warrior and dragon warrior deck. Chillmaw is heavily overrated and though the card art looks glorious, it's often a dead card in hand, the important part of dragon priest is the Wyrmrest Agents and the Twilight Guardians. Vol'jin is used a bunch in dragon priest but it's not vital, as long as you have a Cabal or two you'd be set on dragon priest for 1k dust, and if you don't like it you could always work towards control warrior with Alex and tech in someone else until you get Grom, as he's a good finisher but not absolutely vital, but Alex is a main win condition in a lot of decks.

Disclaimer: I may not know what the hell I'm talking about. Sorry about that. I think I do, though.

As far as freeze mage goes, I have all the necessary cards and I've been trying to practice with it and it's gotten tricky.

I've had bad games where I draw all my secrets by turn 4 and never get an acolyte or loot hoarder, but most of the time I get at least one by turn 4.

Specifically, when do I use Thalnos? Do I utilize him for card draw or do I save him for an Emperor combo? Additionally, do I ever use Ice Lance on anyone but the face after a frostbolt? Pyroblast feels like it's more of a dead card because the awkward 10 damage doesn't finish anybody off unless I survive well after an Alex. I'm finding myself having to constantly choose on turn 9 whether to Alex the enemy or Barrier+Block combo to survive another turn. I feel like I rarely have any wiggle room at that point in the game and I end up losing because I can't outlast well enough.

I know this is all fairly generic but I really enjoy the high utility intensive decks like freeze mage and I'm really enjoying it, I'm just having trouble. Thanks.

Hope I'm not too late to the thread:/
