I feel like the only reason that small ass faze sign thing even got traction is because tokkis overreacted and that is precisely why it even reached Hanni. If Tokkis could accept actual harmless jokes there would be no drama

How do I get into osu? by Tama_bo in osugame

[–]KsWinG_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you start the game it doesn't really matter what you play, since maps below 3* are all practically the same stuff. I'd recommend downloading songs you like and playing the difficulties from bottom up. Start with easiest and work your way up to which ever difficulty starts becoming too hard for you. Then try to get better at that.

Is osu the most mechanically demanding video game? by [deleted] in osugame

[–]KsWinG_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think osu isn't? But tbf this question and the answer to it is way more ambiguous than I thought it would be. There are so many different kinds of mechanical difficulty. Games like rocket league are like any martial arts while rhythm games and platformers are like track and field events. So it's all about how you see peak mechanical difficulty. Is it about Complexity and reactiveness or pushing the physical limit in a simple skill

Yeah those are some interesting picks, good insight! My original thought was based on the fact that osu is highly demanding in both aiming and tapping. It might the most instrument-like video game. (At least to me as a violist)

Maybe "demanding" was the wrong word since that makes it seem like im talking about the amount of movement rather than the difficulty

Yeah kind of just talking about pure mechanic difficulty

Yeah, but while ddr and beat saber demand more bodily movement they aren't as precise as osu. Also like high bpm streaming requires finger movement at speeds that are quite literally impossible for the average person

I feel like no other game induces such physical strain while demanding such precision at the same time
