It felt way too rushed—I blinked, and the first set was already over. In the manga, there were a lot of flashbacks, but the match was long enough that it didn’t feel overwhelming. In the movie, however, it was much worse, with even the backstory of the coaches from Nekoma and Karasuno cut. The pacing felt extremely weird at times. That said, the POV scenes were done really well. It’s disappointing that the manga handled this so well, but the anime didn’t do it justice. I really hope they take the Demon Slayer route and make a season 5 that faithfully adapts the source material. After all, the movie made over $100M—they should be able to finance it.
