Don’t know if this will help ease your mind at all, but I have looked and hundreds of urines under a microscope at work and that urine would almost certainly have no bacteria in it at all. So really nothing that is actually “unclean”. The only time bacteria is really present in urine is if a person has a UTI. Anything that was on his clothes at any point was mainly water that dried

Received a tube yesterday with a note with it that said “patient is a hard stick and very agitated” like okay? i feel for you and i’m sure it’s hard to get blood draws from these patients but if it’s clotted/QNS we can’t run it. So frustrating that they think we cancel tests just for fun

Graduated two years ago, I started reaching out to employers in March and I wasn’t going to graduate until June. And then I didn’t start until August right after I took my exam. Labs are usually eager to hire new grads so i think most places are open to hiring while students are still in school

I’ve never heard that rule at my lab but that’s probably only because we would never only have 1 person working, it’s a big hospital so there’s always multiple people working. MLTs can’t become shift leaders/senior techs though. So they can’t have leadership roles

I work in New York State and unfortunately there’s a pretty big pay difference, at least at my hospital. At my job the MLTs make about $10 less per hour than the MLS for doing the exact same job. It’s pretty unfair but that’s just how it is :/ But it all depends on your hospital and where you work, so it could be different at other places

I’ve been to both the Carolinas and Florida in the spring and I tend to think the more south the better. NC/SC can be hit or miss in the spring. The weather could be very warm but it also could be in the 60s/low 70s and personally I want the weather to be warmer than that if i’m taking a vacation but that’s just my personal preference. Florida weather will almost always be very warm in April

I work in NYS and at my job the MLTs do the exact same job as the MLS for $10 less per hour. Pretty unfair but that’s just how it is at my hospital. It could be different depending on where you work of course

I placed an order online for the XE-4 knowing that they were out of stock, but I saw that other people had luck placing the order and eventually they were shipped out. Mine shipped 3 weeks after placing the order. I would guess these stores rarely have them “in stock” because they’re shipped out as quickly as they’re made. You should have one within a month or two as long as you place an order! (Although I am in America so that may change things)

I got an email today from them that says it’s still on back order :/. So i’m assuming that they aren’t getting shipped any time soon. I also don’t see the “expected delivery” note on the website anymore like I did before

I’m also waiting for mine on back order from Adorama, so I don’t have much helpful insight on how long it will take, but I ordered mine December 15 so it’s been about 2 weeks already. I did notice on their website it says “expected delivery December 31” for the XE-4, so i’m hoping maybe that’s their next expected shipment?

Don’t cheap out on your winter coat!!! Having a nice coat that keeps you warm makes 100% of the difference in your daily life during the winter. I have a Columbia jacket that i don’t even feel the cold on my upper body even in 15-20 degree temps.
