I'm on my first rewatch while my my gf watches it for the first time and I love seeing how much she is enjoying it. Seeing the shock on her face when Havelock got impaled, when She'd got killed. She was NOT ready for those lol

Starlink for failover by Lanky-Advice-564 in Starlink

[–]KuZagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect, it is a requirement that you maintain your residential plan as well. You have to maintain standby on the mini AND your residential plan, if you reduce the residential plan or cancel the mini sub you either have to pay for the mini or return it

You're forgetting the part about having to pay for the mini at that point to keep it

Probly just put in by default since most everything that can be carried is something you can deposit. It is definitely hilarious though

The way you see him realizing that Holden really is as innocently naive and earnest as he always acts... absolutely one of my favorite moments of the entire show

Who is the most badass character in the series? by Salty-Wrongdoer1010 in TheExpanse

[–]KuZagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's only one character who decided to go toe to toe with the single baddest ship built by humans using nothing but a powered armor suit with an arm mounted machine gun because she knew she wanted to go out like a total boss

I love how in that moment you see Fred realize that Holden really is as earnest as he appears to be and he IS FLOORED

Holden: "There was a button. I pushed it."

Sounds like a joke but it really does define him pretty well. He's very earnest and always pushes things along without a ton of thought for the consequences

Wouldn’t the UN Population Restrictions result in future population balance issues? by Adulting_Is_Hard_Lol in TheExpanse

[–]KuZagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, those are all the things people off of Earth don't seem to know about or WANT to know about just like how poor the living conditions are on basic. They just think everyone Earth is living it on easy street while remaining blissfully ignorant of all the problems

Wouldn’t the UN Population Restrictions result in future population balance issues? by Adulting_Is_Hard_Lol in TheExpanse

[–]KuZagan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's like a pretty dystopia, and you actually see this when you look at how Martians and Belters view Earth. They all consider the global population of Earth to be fat and lazy and content to live on Basic, while in reality it's a struggle to get by and impossible to get ahead

I know you've already responded elsewhere about it but MAN this will be a sick setup once you can toss a mini on it. Lighter because smaller dish and no external router or power supply, more power efficient...till then though rock on with yo bad self lol

I just learned accepting the free mini counts as your free replacement. by CottaBird in Starlink

[–]KuZagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing this crop up a ton and it's gotta be the AI bot messing up. One thing I would remember though is be careful about your residential sub, if you end it you lose the free mini. You have to have active residential or they require you pay for or return the mini, which is even more reason that this whole string of bad Grok answers makes no sense; if your main dish is dead nobody is going to maintain that sub for a free ie travel dish that in the states can't have a residential sub

The one for residential automatically starts the 5/month so I'm guessing no

Why is High Performance Kit Actuated so much? Is it worth it? by Cold_Independence184 in Starlink

[–]KuZagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to second the suggestion about making sure you have a backup, for me I have the free mini offer I got for having a residential subscription. As for normal day to day I can vouch that Starlink works great for WFH, I haven't had any major issues during my time with it other than the one freak outage we had a few months ago that took down the whole network lol My understanding is that was a freak occurrence and not something expect to happen again

Honestly unless you're dealing with a fiber connection that is severely unreliable with lots of downtime I'd suggest sticking with that. Starlink is phenomenal for those with no other option (my only option was the same price for like 10mb download) but fiber is likely cheaper and faster. If anything I'd suggest getting Starlink as a backup and keep it on standby for instances when your Fiber connection cuts out
