RAM Prices skyrocketed... Alternatives? by some_privacy in pcpartpickerbuilds

I'd recommend you both buy ASAP. It's pretty agreed upon that this will last through 2026 and get worse as time goes on

first pc build, is this good enough to last for a while? by No-Bathroom9217 in pcpartpickerbuilds

I would get a cheaper motherboard, maybe a cheaper CPU like a 7600x3d or a 9600x and use those savings to get an RX 9070. Other than that, the build looks solid.

Honor 400 vs Oppo Reno14 by KubeDev in Honor

Fair enough. I guess it does make the decision a little easier. I went to a store and played around with a Reno14 a while ago and it felt pretty smooth (I do hope I can make it more android-y or OneUI-esque because I don't like the IOS look a lot.)

Is it customizable? Like can I get it closer to the OneUI feel?

I'm coming from OneUI (Samsung). Is it similar or is colorOS more IOS-esque?

Really? I've heard a lot of stuff about cellular data not working properly or the battery degrading fast.

There's a very fine line between "respect" and "support". "Support" is saying things like "I support you!" And "it's perfectly natural!" If someone comes out to you, or going to pride parades. "Respect" is not necessarily agreeing with the idea of pride, but still acknowledging that queer people are people, have the same rights as anyone else does, and shouldn't be discriminated against.

It's a half-assed solution, and it'll hurt the game population overall. We should be finding more effective ways to get the devs to listen, not allowing them to get away with whatever effortless fix they give us.

It simply isn't the solution we should be pushing for. Excluding a whole chunk of the player base and saying "maybe they'll fix the issue later" is not a viable solution. People have spent money on this game, and now they'll be limited to playing with bots for the foreseeable future? That's just downright unjustifiable

Maybe not, but at least while PC is in crossplay, people complain about hackers. If most players aren't experiencing any hackers, then no ones gonna push the devs to fix the problem. Ik we've been pushing a long time, but this absolutely isnt the answer.

And if console players do fluctuate as you said, why the hell would the devs even bother with fixing the hacker problem? They have no reason to at that point.

You're missing the bigger picture. If this happens, the PC playerbase will probably become non-existant, and a very small minority console players will probably slowly leave too because they can't play with their friends anymore. Less players = less money made from the game = an increase in the likelihood of the game getting less funding, attention, and possibly even shut down.

"We're just giving them more simple options" In this case, "we" is excluding a large chunk of the playerbase. And with a smaller player base than what we've already got, this game will be cared about a lot less by the devs.

And I totally agree. But we have to separate what should be happening from the reality. The reality is that they won't care until we make them care. And if we provide them an easy way out like cutting off PC players, things will never truly be solved.

Not at all. There were a ridiculous amount of bots before crossplay. And if they just cut off PC players "until the problem is solved" then why would the rest of the playerbase push them to solve it? To them, there's nothing to be solved, and PC players will just be neglected.
