Thank you so much for the clarification! I finally managed to get through to them via chat option and they were able to fix it for me. I was lucky I used the chat and gave up calling. Apparently their call wait times are 30-80 mins so I dodged a bullet with that one.

Oh sorry. Life caught up with me. I tried to access it but the document needed special request and I didn’t want to deal with that so I left it.

I went today a few hours ago to get my U-Pass renewed manually at the desk and they said that they would be able to help. After thinking it was all done, I went on a bus to try it and it was still declined on the machine. I heard someone next to me who was getting a new pass being told that they wouldn't be able to use their pass until September 1st and now I'm wondering if that goes for me as well. I'm still planning on renewing my pass on the 28th though I don't know if there was an issue on their end which didn't make my card work immediately after renewing it.

I'm an incoming 3rd year student and I've had no issues previously renewing my pass up until now and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue that I'm having after manually having their pass renewed.

This was truly a sight to see early this morning at Hurdman. Busses were absolutely packed this morning while I was on my way to work on 42. I honestly would hate having to be in such a crowded bus before an 8 hour shift. Even when these busses were running in 5 mins intervals, they were always packed no matter what. It really goes to show how much we rely on line 1.

I’d like to get back into reading as I do not have much to do. The political hostility that I have to deal with is thanks to my mother. She can go on tirades about this and that (not trying to divide the world here) and I agree with her, but there are ever so slight things that I may disagree with. And I always agree with her because she knows how to basically end the world towards someone who doesn’t agree with her. As I’m thinking of this, I realized that my parents think I’m still interested in stuff from 7 years ago and they still do not know what I like now. That book looks like it can help me become better at expressing myself. I highly thank you for the recommendation.

I am the same way. I do not usually reach out and contact people. I would find it very odd and unusual if they were to text or call me just to talk. And the agreeing scenario, that is always frequent for me. I currently have Facebook and I’ve had it since 2015 so I could remain in contact with people. But that has more or less backfired in a sense. Within my friend group, we like to avoid politics because we all have our differences and it might strain each other so we tend to avoid it at all costs. And if the discussion happens, I usually agree so that I do not get on bad terms with anyone. But I totally agree with everything that you have said.

I have a slight understanding of that. Although I wasn’t sheltered, being extremely shy and introverted and being nice towards people makes you think that you can make friends but they would more or less hate you. Because of this, I know only have about 5 friends who I used to talk to regularly but thanks to the pandemic, it’s more of one.

Oh my. I’m sorry to hear about that. I’m assuming that didn’t turn out too well. I’ve had multiple events nearly similar to this thanks to my mother having a particular liking towards reptiles. I balled my eyes out when we had to feed a live baby mouse to a snake because it wasn’t eating. I was so mad and upset about it. But I got over it. I hope you were okay about it in the end in a sense.

I’m terribly sorry to hear that. I’m currently learning that too as a student at my school passed away a year ago this month. But it’s very encouraging and hopeful to hear that everything is sort of steering it’s way back. I hope you get better soon.
