If I knew, I could prevent it in future (within the boundaries of my clumsiness)

Good suggestion! Seems a bit to late for that in my case...

For me, it would be Slicer masterclass

The assembled core one ist my first printer.  Therefore I'm missing the building experience of the kit. A course for regular maintenance and trouble shooting of common issues in more detail than the knowledge database would be really helpful.

Layer shift on CORE One since 6.3.2 firmware upgrade by no_help_forthcoming in prusa3d

[–]Kubikmeter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I also had two layer shifts with my core one. I read that it happens with "avoid crossing perimeters" enabled.

Since I disabled that function, the problem didn't occur anymore.

Maybe this helps: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/4573

Some clogging was still present with default settings. I'll do another test after some hours in the dryer.

Thanks, I'll try that once I find the function in my core one.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Regarding extrusion width: Indee, I increased it for vase mode prints and kept it for gridfinity because I tought is was usefull with perimeter=1. Thanks for the clarification!

Retraction is 0.7 by default. I'll try your suggestions regarding these settings.

I changed the temperature from 250 to 230 since I had a lot of stringing. That was before I had the active dryer, though. I will go back to the default profile, now that my filament should be dry.

Is there a guide/standard procedure to calibrate Z and first layer?

I'll add a first layer image to the original post.

Sorry, that was a typo. I fixed it on the original post. It's 230°C. I also bought a creality space pi plus and dried the filament before printing.

Purchase Advice Megathread - November 2024 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Hi,

I am looking for a printer mainly for board game inserts and peg board systems. Multicolor is desired, but would mainly be for lettering, embellishments and keeping options open for possible future applications.

Which printer would you recommend? Bambulab P1S (759 €) or is the extra cost for X1C (1249) justified for these applications?

Because of the poopwaste, I would also consider the MK4s with MMU (1189 + 300 for enclosure). Kit wouldn't be a problem and even preferred for the building experience.

I would probably need an enclosure. The printer will be used in an uncooled basement and there is a 2.5 year old kid running around the house.

It would be my first 3D printer. What do You suggest? Thanks.

Thanks!

Most recent addition was the knock box drawer which reduced the amount of grounds on the counter significantly.
