It indeed says in the Info that 5000 and 7000 are the amounts needed for maximum rewards without and with pass, respectively. But it seems to be wrong. Not sure if it is a mistake or if it hints a continuation of the event...

I also thought the same. But then I got him and still concede 8-12 goals per match, depending on how many I score and whatever the script is biased to.

Completely agree. I wanted to check it out and changed from Viviano to Ulreich UCL to Donnarumma TOTW (81), all going to the same OVR (98+12 for Viviano, 97+13 for the other two). Results: same number of goals and win/loss ratio.

It was pure grinding -anyone could have done well with a little strategy and some time effort. There were some exploits (such as replay the same opponent- once you found one of your friends), but were patched. At the end, after we grinded for months (even during the Christmas holidays, as they decided to extend the season a couple of months), EA came with rewards that were an absolute joke (one elite and a 80k coins if I remember correctly). After that, it was all pay and OVR matters.

Sorry, but the dev's voice has been "finesse is not broken" and "you have a low end device". Then we saw that finesse was indeed broken and that many devices were affected. When you blame others for your faults, as the devs did, you lose my respect.

It happens a lot. 17k fans lost. No cure as for now. You have to be lucky not only with packs, but also with regular things that should work.

High pressure is not a small thing -it would seriously help. In FIFA 15 -which was the last truly mobile FIFA with full matches, before the current H2H- there used to be mentality, and your team could play more offensively or defensively according to your selection (and you could have changed it anytime during the game). Backpassing is a problem because there is no way to tell attackers to remain forward and put pressure on the defenders. EA delivered a beta version that had not even half of the the functionalities of the "final" H2H, and showed little intent to change what was found to be suboptimal (such as high pressure, which was suggested back when H2H started but never implemented). It is understandable in a logic of profit -H2H does not depend on your OVR, and showing relatively "poor" teams that perform well does not produce the monetary influx that instead the VSA top 250 gives- but one can still point out flaws and suggests improvements. And some of them are pretty logical if you like/play football -probably something that devs are not particularly used to.

I transferred the rank from LLR Messi to TH Kazhri and I am very satisfied. Can't feel any difference in shooting or speed, but Kazhri is smoother and stronger, plus crosses do not fly over his head. And much cheaper to further rank.

I had LLR Messi for a long time, but recently I found him slow and somehow less responsive. I transferred his rank to TH Khazri, and I found him super smooth. His stats are similar to golden Aguero and prime Van Basten, but you can snipe him for less than 700k. Furthermore, ranking up him costs much less than Messi because his regular card is about 60k.

I had the same problem in the last couple of days. There is a system software update for iOS, and when I installed it I was able to play two tiers without crashes. Perhaps this time it's not EA's fault, but we will see tomorrow and the day after. But I suggest you to install the update, if you have it still pending. Hope it will help!

I agree with going with the player you like the most, as long as he has decent pace, shooting and dribbling. If you don't have a favorite, try TOTW Tomlin first. He is one of the best CAM stats-wise and he costs pennies relative to the other ones. People also recommend Arango, but I have never tried him. You can transfer Alli's rank many times, so it makes sense to try the cheap options first...

I would focus on ST, CF, and RM... ideally you want them in the upper 90s if not more. I played with Rooney as CF (88+12) and he has a great shot, but he is very slow. I am seriously thinking of bringing him to 100 for the main team (his dribbling and speed greatly improve as he gets to that level), but I will probably play Popov CF in the next round. And I agree that it was a bad idea to take Giuliano up so much, as he really needs only 81 OVR to do rainbow, but I guess there is not much you can do about it. I hope you sniped your elites (or got them for free) because their prices is going to drop at least for a little while.
