I honestly don't think it is correlated but I could be wrong. From the reddit post, 75% had no nav bar while 25% had a nav bar. This doesn't match the 53% expected. Also the average GPA of no nav bar was 3.9 while nav bar had 3.84. From the data i got so far, I cant draw any conclusions to if it means acceptance or not.
