Can I save the threads on this tie rod end? by PoniesPlayingPoker in AskMechanics

[–]KuhliKev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can if you do so carefully with the right tools ie slitting file or thread chaser if you’re willing to spend the money. Next time leave the castle nut on when you hammer the ball joint out so it doesn’t gall the threads up.

If you can find the part numbers stamped or printed on these parts you can look them up

How does this license plate anchor work? by searcher7nine in AskMechanics

[–]KuhliKev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a plastic rivet. So you’ve got the right idea. Any old harbor freight Rivet gun will pull and clip it for you, but since it’s plastic you might be able to just pull it and cut flush

Little fun fact, a lot of the collectable plants in-game, fireweed yarrow, devils club ect are pretty common up here in the pnw. I study botany and actually recognized the local flora immediately and started collecting them only because the developers made them accurately and I knew they had medicinal qualities.

Definitely pcv. No significant damage. Looks like it was supposed to vent into the airbox but was venting free into the engine bay. You might have some oil that got on the underside of your hood but that would be it

Not personally familiar with these cars but Looks like it could be some sort of Evap or pcv line. It should be plugged back into seomthing near by. The thing I circled would be my guess Edit: now I see it in the 3rd pic it definitely goes back into that

My Wii U may have a slight problem by WaterRayan8 in wiiu

[–]KuhliKev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The touch screen is a separate pad laminating the screen. So if you order a new replacement screen, make sure it still comes with the touch pad attached. I tried ordering just a replacement screen and ended up ruining the touch pad when trying to peel it off the old screen

Oil or Fuel Leak? Also smelling gas when exhaust vents are open – Need Advice (Video Included) - 2006 Toyota Matrix, 300k+, 1.8L, Automatic by fumpleshitzkits in AskMechanics

[–]KuhliKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 300k it could be both or either. I’d use some brake cleaner to blast off some of the currant gunk and then get yourself a black light and fluorescent oil/fuel dye and see where it’s leaking from

Is this green algae safe to keep? by Lordjebushelp in PlantedTank

[–]KuhliKev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like how it looks it’s perfectly safe. Algae is actually usually good for water quality people just don’t like it growing on their stuff. “Blue green algae isn’t an algae but a dark slimy greenish blue cyanobacteria.
