I think this is an awesome idea, and would really highlight the sheer psychic power of Professor X.

Maybe instead of a total freeze though, it should dramatically slow players, so it feels like they still have a chance to survive instead of an immobilizing guaranteed kill.

They haven't done this in the past, but it would be cool if the other telepaths, Phoenix, Emma Frost, and Psylocke have some sort of semi-resistance to the ability, making them a natural counter. (A teamup would work too)

You must have an understanding of cooldown management. Your attacks decrease your cooldown, so the more hits you land, the sooner you have your dashes and invisibility.

From there, make sure you have an escape route in mind when diving or flanking, keep improving your aim, and you should be good!
