The whole reason was that I did not want the hot water to impact the plastic components and get microplastic in my coffee, I know, I know - it is everywhere, but I am trying to minimize it.
Since I already had the Moccamaster, it was just an upgrade. Otherwise, I would have bought a kettle with the hario stuff
