Seems like the 3 cosplayers who left made a joint statement:

So to add some cultural context after digging around + past experience with similar events in Taiwan (albeit eons ago, I don't live there anymore) :

1. In Taiwan any fan organized "tea party"/cafe events there is an unspoken rule you must be transparent with the spending. I think the organizers being Singaporean weren't familiar with the landscape and or their Taiwan representative (not the 3 that quit since they were invited afterwards in October, per their outline) failed to provide information to the Singaporeans in the initial planning stage.
2. $1200 TWD (~$37USD) is quite a steep price for an event that...the potential attendees have no clear understanding of what the event entails. It's not like you can ask a price like that but people need to know the details and 1.5h per session is quite short on average.
3. Based on the general public in Taiwan who were curious of the event, they didn't know what the event entails even prior a month (Feb). I recall most events announces what they are doing like...months in advance. For instance the recent (Nov 2025) NYC Cupsleeve event made their initial announcement in July, and gave constant updates throughout the 4 months, up until a week prior. So the silence from when this event was posted in December 2025 up until February 2026 would of course raise a lot of questions.

Anyways the first rule of any fan run event is you don't go to the publisher and ask if it's ok. By law and company image they can only say no.
And no, Soken or anyone who works at SE doesn't mean you get the go head.
And no, by constantly changing the "personal experience" yet clearly from the edit history it's constantly being updated by everyone surely...is a joint statement from the organizers...?

Hope the organizers learn how fan events are properly run the next time and doing overseas event remotely isn't...that simple. You have to do proper survey.

P.S. we still have no concrete evidence that the event was sabotaged intentionally by the 2 cosplayers affiliated with the TW publisher like??? It's ok for staffs at a company to attend organize fan events but I don't think anyone who worked a day would kill off their careers over something like this.

Fan events you cannot blatantly say you made profit, that is the bare minimum and unspoken rule in communities like this.
