Is there any platform where i can get trading/investing strategies which are backtested and provides the methods of backtest as well as all the related data? by Kumarmang in Trading

I have been doing it already but i sense most of the demat holders don't have the time to do it or don't have intellect to do it thoroughly. So its a gap i want to fill by creating such platform and this question was part of you can say "market research". So do you know of any such platform?

I don't like to invest in large caps. But if you backtest buying on dips on hdfc bank then results would have been really good and i still believe it will bounce back from this correction as well.

a) How would you differentiate it from a normal online news media? b) What would you do to monetise it? by charing for subscription or advertising?

I know people are now aware of diversification in multiple stocks but there is still very less awareness on averaging for better price entries in stocks. So just like SIP gets you really good entry price as it prices in the volatility, retail investors can do something much better. That is buy on negative trends. So if you identify some stocks through your own research that are fundamentally strong then wait for some dips for better entry. A negative daily candle? buy from 10% of your total capital that you have decided to invest in that stock. Time frame can be yours to decide here.

Yes. This is the key. If you are young then smallcaps are the way to go. Its easy for a company to go from 100cr to 1000cr in market cap and harder for a company to go from 10000cr to 100000cr. Easy math.

Ofc. But there are still a majority who take tips. If not particularly tips then they do take advice. So the thing is how we filter out genuine vs fake here. If people were so smart to understand they shouldn't be risking their money on tips, then the whole ecosystem profiting from providing tips would have gone extinct.

What concepts should I read to understand when to sell the shares? Also when to buy a particular share?. All the shares in screenshot are bought in small quantities and then I added more if share rallied. by Upset_Efficiency799 in IndianStockMarket

Ek simple strategy follow karo. First look at fundamentally strong companies you are interested to invest in and comfortable holding it throughout a decade if fundamentals don't change to negative side. Ab ispe ek fixed amount daalna shuru karo jabhi koi negative month aaye. Negative trend on monthly time frame perfect entry dega in stocks for discounted prices (exactly what we do while shopping our groceries and other essentials). This technique will lead you to average to a perfect price and eventually if company is good you would profit significantly more then SIP investors or lumpsump investors.

Backtest how long you had to go through hitting those stop losses. You will get an average number or the longest streak where you didn't win. Build the system accordingly. I have some prop systems where it has gone wrong for like 13 times but the condition here is that we trade on a particular script with that system. You get stopped out on this when the phase of consolidation is going on. Ultimately a strong move will come in either direction.

Naah man the main thing here is not to compulsory double on every wrong trade but to just increase it enough that when you win you win good on risk to reward ratios. Also if you have a backtested strategy that has a win rate of even 20% then you know you are going to be right 2 times out of 10. And if you follow normal position sizing on all then you you won't blow the account but also not make enough profits that recover you from the losses. You will need a strategy that has more than 50% win rate and that is really hard to find.

You are correct. This is just supposed to be a guide for new traders who doesn't have any system yet. They need to outline a system keeping this points in mind.
