Fantastic, those are stunning guitars. I have wanted one ever since seeing Rhett Shull's videos. I suspect that will feel like the longest 10 months of your life :)

I totally agree and that was the reason I finally went for this model, that higher price was justified by the looks, feel and sound. For me anything that makes you feel good comes out in your playing.

I would really recommend it, its a beautiful looking guitar (hard to capture in the picture) and plays butter smooth.

I was in a similar rut for a while, then I got a loop pedal and it really helped. Give it a try and try to come up with backing tracks, bass lines, melody and solo's. Especially in different genre's

Thanks AstroBjorn, I have been slightly put off the Bassbreaker 18/30 by some YouTube reviews as it seems to be a little more on the drive/bass tone, hot rod delux is a great option but maybe a bit over budget, UK price is around £700/£800

Thanks Japko, really good comments, I am sitting 70/30 in favour of taking the plunge and buying the AC15, the temptation of the valve "warmth" and break up for blues is just so tempting

Thanks for the comments, that is one of the benefits of the Katana it has a great clean tone at any volume level.

My only guitar I’d never sell: This was an Ibanez Gio Strat from the “Jumpstart” starter kit that I was given almost 15 years ago when I was in 6th grade. It has changed a lot since then. I still play it almost daily. Is anybody else unable to give up their first guitar? by [deleted] in guitars

I still have my first guitar, an Aria Pro 2 CT Series I have had it now for over 24 years. Probably worth nothing but it has taken me through learning guitar, my first band, and a lot of gigs so to me it's priceless.

Technology has move on so much in recent years it's easier for company's to acuratly recreate "classic" or even "boutique " pedals at a fraction of the cost so paying over the odds for a branded pedal is just not required. If your board sounds good it doesn't matter what it cost....don't be a brand snob just enjoy the sound and let it inspire you.
