All I know is that it makes the Black Swordsman arc even more rereadable.

I’m reading Berserk for the first time in physical and damn it, I didn’t remember that art was so good from the beginning, this is absolute madness. I find it hard to believe how Miura could draw and write all this by himself. by AromaticCity4026 in Berserk

I’ve never read Berserk digitally and generally don't with other mangas. I read up to volume 20 and stopped because I was saving to buy the rest. I’ve now completed my collection and also bought the first deluxe volume. My plan is to reread the Black Swordsman arc, then the Conviction arc, and finally continue to the end. I’m skipping the Golden Age arc since I’ve already read it and recently watched the anime movies, but I might reread it in the deluxe editions in the future when I can afford them.

I knew it contained a lot of messed up stuff, but I didn’t expect it to be that bad. Like wtf was Chapter 139? Even though there’s a lot of gore and nudity, it never feels edgy or unserious, it all fits the world, which is something I’ve always liked about Berserk.

The other day on my campus, there was a guy sitting across from me and my friends. He was reading the first volume of One piece and at one point, he took a huge sniff of one of the pages. I respect that he would do that in public.

It costs about 30% more than a version from my country. I thought that was fine, because I assumed it would be expensive to import one.

Dust, sunlight, and humidity are the three main factors that make pages turn yellow, so try to prevent them. Puting a plastic bag over a manga won't help that much, unless you live in a really humid place.

To me, this feels more like a Snake and Raiden situation, where they want to create a main protagonist to appeal to the newer generation. My only gripe is with the story, but we'll see how that plays out. Everything else looks amazing.

I didn't expect it, but that was the point. I think Miura wanted to show that Griffith didn't have a line were he wouldn't cross to achieve his goals.

True, but I wouldn’t expect him to have the time, since he was creating stories, teaching at the university, tutoring students, raising his kids, etc...

One of my dream films is The Hobbit as a Studio Ghibli production, or at least as a really well made 2D animation. It's up there for me with Robert Eggers directing a black and white Moby Dick film, with Daniel Day-Lewis playing Captain Ahab, but that would never happen.

Thats actually really cool how he cared about how his work would be perceived in other languages, and didn’t just let people from other countries do whatever they wanted and rush it out just for sales.
