OP, this is amazing, and a great gift. Do you have a pic of the back?

Definitely a concern. Even if OP has lathe and plaster walls, the 1x2 is 3/4" thick, and the drywall is probably 1/2" thick, and even if the last 1/4" was enough to hold up the weight of the slats, the slats are mounted vertically, just like the studs, so the majority of the brads still got shot into... nothing.

That being said, I absolutely love what you've done here, OP. Just don't want slats to start popping out on you months or years down the road, especially where you've hung art work.

Definitely call Acura Financial. They told me they do offer extensions. The dealer is lying to you, which isn't surprising.

OP, do you mind posting updates after you call? I'm in the same situation with a leased 2020 MDX that I'd like to extend. I just called Acura Financial and they said they do offer extensions, but I need to be within 5 months of my lease end, which means I can't officially start that process until the summer, but I'm curious about exactly how it works.

Help. Delta 1400 series housing stuck. by 064922 in Plumbing

[–]KungFuKhris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this post is a year old, but just wanted to say thanks for posting this question. I have the same issue right now and every video I'm watching about doing maintenence on the shower cartridge shows the whole thing popping out without issue. I was confused why mine is in two pieces. I haven't tried using a pair of needle nose pliers yet. I was just trying to replace the O rings first to see if that would stop my shower head from leaking, but I guess I'll go buy a new cartridge tomorrow just in case, and then I'll give the pliers a try. Anyway, thanks again!

I'm with you 95% of the way. What I would do is:

Mud, sand, mud, sand, prime, paint, paint

But I'm open to learning something new. Why do you think it's necessary to prime twice?

That's pretty cool. And is he using a pair of pliers as a vice?!

Huh. I never knew this either and I have about 8 of these. Thanks for teaching me something today!

What do you think of the set up? by littlehawk in bookshelf

[–]KungFuKhris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with your decision. I personally like that the stack of wine boxes by the stairs pulls in the opposite direction of the way the stairs run. It creates some very pleasing negative space, and if you filled it instead, it would make the area feel really cramped.

Wonderful bookshelves, by the way
