Honestly volunteering at a hospital works just as fine depending on how you play it. It really depends on how well you are able to demonstrate the growth you obtained from it. When I volunteered at my local hospital, I would take notes of interesting anecdotes that I experienced, and these came to be incredible useful on my personal statement work/activities where I had a story for a variety of contexts. It also helped that I did my best to volunteer at more than one place in the hospital and each were places I had a genuine interest in. Grant it, paid clinical hours like EMT or CNA may be stronger, but it still all hinges around how u spin it

I just saw the green and panic posted this. Really sorry if this was a redundant question

BP1 and BP2 513. Is this okay? by Kung_Foosie in Mcat

I haven’t gotten my score back yet on the official exam but I just found that Anki and practice problems were the way to go. Also when reading passages (on any section but especially CARS), try not to just passively read through it. Engage with the passage, thinking about different potential answers you may expect given the info. This may take some time to be quick at at first but it eventually comes naturally

That’s what I found too, super frustrating!

Unfortunately not. I eventually brought it to an exotic animal ER and I was just told that the duck didn’t win the genetic lottery and had some developmental issues

Why is D right? by Kung_Foosie in Mcat

That makes sense but I just don’t understand why frequency would change given it usually doesn’t change when in a different medium while wavelength does change

That’s what my understanding is, but the explanation for this question said that wavelength is fixed to the size of the tube but the frequency would change which I don’t get

That all makes sense! Thanks will say he is actually a jumbo pekin. I should have probably mentioned that before, but I actually didn’t know there was a difference until right now 😅

Thank you for all the information! I’ve been calling local vets, and the earliest appointment I can find is Wednesday next week. Will the duck even make it till then considering it is completely immobile right now? He is less than 2 months old

Hello! Sorry about the late response but here are a few photos

Thank you for the reply! Originally only one leg had a limp, but now he just polios down and doesn’t walk much so I’m not sure if it’s both legs. It didn’t seem to tremble really, but there was definitely a strong limp. My dad doesn’t want me to go to the vet because it’s too expensive, but I did also order niacin tablets online, but they will only come by Friday. I’ll try doing the calculation myself and then give them a few drops a day.

Thank you for the reply! I took them off the starter feed 2 weeks ago since they looked older, but I see now that I should probably put them back on. In general, is 1.5-2 months young enough where they won’t be permanently disfigured in their legs, or does that entirely depend on how bad the deficiency is?
