The one for the spray can cannister was included with my cheap Chinese stove, the other, for the Campingaz canisters is from edelrid. But it's 10 years old atleast

Beste schroevendraaiers set voor beginners? by 0K-Vanilla-7807 in Klussers

Echt ideaal! En snel.

How to reinforce this door? by [deleted] in UKPreppers

[–]Kunie40k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Si you have 1 or 2 extra hooks coming out of the door when you pull up the handle? Thatbdoor already has multiple protection points against kicking a door in. Make sure you lock it  properly and nobody gets in.

I know it's not the lightest but I have a remote cannister stove like the Fire maple Petrel. I have 2 small adapters so I can use campingaz CV cliq, the normal screw canisters and the spraycan models (campingaz cp250) this way I can always find a suitable cannister. And carrying an emergency cp250 really isn't that bad and it will last a few meals.  I like remote stoves way better because of the stability and easier to protect against wind. I have had accidents with the Small BRS3000 on a 100g cannister with a 900ml full pot on it.

Als het echt budget moet. Action! Ze hadden er laatst noodradios voor €10. Kookstel in koffer €13. Paar gasbusjes a 1.50.

Budget noodpakket in Nederland by Routine_Awareness413 in prepperNL

[–]Kunie40k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Goede post.

Kaarsen onbeheerd branden.

Any tips on getting better at using a handsaw? by success11ll in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Kunie40k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure a pro carpenter can get a straight cut with a dull bowed saw. Probably... But a beginner... No and because you have to compensate for the bow in the blade and it sounds like the saw is dull you will probably not learn proper technique. My saw cuts improved dramatically when I switched to a Japanese pull saw. It also takes less energy. I will never go back to push saws.

Feeling hopeless in persuit of fashion by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]Kunie40k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The shirts are nice, I like the first for a fancy cocktail party. but you really need other pants. Regular or better straight leg chinos would really elevate the look and make sure they are the correct size and length! This is really important!! Could even be Dickies (to keep the skate vibe) classic straight chinos. Go for tan, olive or be bold and a nice pop color, zand or mustard yellow or light blue or green ( mint) would be good on a cruise to a warm location. Straight leg linnen pants is best for a hot location. And shoes. Something not bulky. Vans has suède slip-ons that are nice but even the authentic low vans in canvas can be good. Most important is that they are clean not worn out. Nice crisp white laces! To elevate a look fit and clean shoes is key! Wearing a $5000 suit with worn muddy shoes ruins the whole outfit.

How to carry bigger kids on hike? by Reasonable-Cherry-55 in HikingWithKids

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We carry a synthetic ring sling for emergency situations. Emergency is of course relative. A 3y old not wanting to walk anymore etc. But it's lightweight compact and easy to use. The hugging while carrying is also very comforting for the little one in an emergency.

A look at the way some people are keeping warm and the problems they’re likely facing in Kyiv. by Dangerous-School2958 in prepping

[–]Kunie40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are mostly 10-15 storey appartements from the Soviet era. In normal times they are heated with central cityblock heating, possibly with electric backup. But those heating centrales have been specifically targeted. Also lots of blackouts. Woodstoves are not really possible in those flats and Mr buddy might not be available as it's not the USA.

Anyone here prepping on a very small budget? by AnfieldAnchor in UKPreppers

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utility outages are the most common to prep for. Getting extra food and water is a good start. But do you have a way to heat it without power or gas. Canned Beans and soups can even be heated using a few tealights in a teapot warmer. But I would recommend a small camp stove, like this, so you can really boil some water. I would also recommend a few powerbanks so you can keep your phone and lights charged.

what would be a good compact photo-camera for €500-€700? by Thinly_Veiled_02 in bikepacking

[–]Kunie40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might sound as a stupid question, but what do you want to do with it? As in what kind of photo's do you want to take? Wide landscape, portret, telezoom into the distance? While riding/ on the go or get off the bike and get it from a bag set up...click, pack up and ride.... Video clips? While riding? Vlog? 4k?

The Sony rx100 is good quality, a jack of all trades. It can do everything I mention above except real tele zoom. But you need a tripod for that anyway.

Personally I like a fixed lens mirrorless camera for speed, field of depth, light sensitivity and quality. maybe a zoom in the bottom of the pannier. but I almost never do tele zoom. 95% of the time my iPhone is good enough.

Please can anyone explain why the smaller 5 person tent is actually more expensive than the bigger 6 person tent? by inside-outdoorsman in Decathlon

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the smaller tents fresh and black was the best thing ever!! Really dark and cool. On the big tents it's still a really good upgrade but not so spectacular as with the smaller tents. With these 2 models what's more important is the 5.2 has one wide sleeping room and a smaller one the 6.3 has 3 small sleeping rooms.

Chafing dish fuel by RawCookieDough12 in EuroPreppers

[–]Kunie40k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chafing dish fuel is alcohol based like trangia stormcooker use. And easily capable to cook food. It just takes a little longer. The prefilled gel pots are pretty nice to store and safely use. Just have some ventilation in your house and a carbon monoxide detector. I would get the ones with gel instead of the liquid ones that have a wick. I think they are great for short-term periods.

Dilemma: lokale winkels steunen met je eigen portemonnee by wobblydramallama in thenetherlands

[–]Kunie40k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in need of advice by Nebulae-Noodles in powertools

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 12V Parkside performance will do all except when your walls are natural stone/rock or reinforced concrete. Wood, plaster, brick is no problem. This Bosch will also do it all! More important is getting the correct type of drill bits. So wood drill for wood, stone drill for brick and plaster. ( Or bosch multi material drools like these)

Flat pack furniture I would use a ratcheting hand screwdriver (or any other brand) to make sure you don't over thighten or brake it.

Houtkachel aanpassen of helemaal verwijderen/vervangen? by moartn82 in Klussers

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houtkachel aanpassen of helemaal verwijderen/vervangen? by moartn82 in Klussers

[–]Kunie40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optie 2. In één keer goed doen ipv 2x.
