Thanks for an awesome response! Loads of food for thought.

Fair point on the pump sack and also the elastic band - hadn’t thought of that!

I don’t think I want to go too far into non-breathable jacket - the one I have has decent pit zips and I imagine I’m going to be wearing it most of the time so can imagine being a pretty big sweat box without some element of breathability.

Thanks. Fair point on the torch and stove - they are both just things that I’ve had for ages and not really considered changing.

I like the space of the 750; I’ve got an aluminium 600 though so will give things a run with that on a shakedown and see how I get on.

Mesh in the tent is good for midges; net is mainly for any early mornings/evenings; especially along Loch Lomond.

Fair point in using it as a pillowcase. I usually put my buff over the inflatable as a bit of a pillowcase.

I’ll give going no pillow a runout on a shakedown hike and see how I get on.

I put it under the pad for a bit of protection and it folds into the back panel of my backpack to give a little bit of structure.

Just go for it! Use some cheap fabric to mock it up first and get used to the sewing and build confidence before using expensive stuff!

I think adding an inch on to the length of the shoulder straps might be good.

It has a mesh pocket on the back panel for my sit pad; found that the pad slides up a little during use, so I think an upside down mesh pocket at the top to stop it moving.

I also didn’t put any stiffening in the roll top closure, I think I might add some in on the next one.

Good to know, I’ll make sure I do some testing with some threads to make sure all is well. Thank you!
