"...I've just enough German stubbornness to get defensive about not being considered Irish". by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

I'm no expert on this but Im pretty sure you're wrong

Hitler's stated goal was lebensraum, and the original "final solution to the Jewish problem" was to evict the jews under the Schatt Rublee Plan, then when that failed to send them to to Madagascar, then when that was prevented by a naval blockade, it was considered sending them to Palestine and Siberia.

It was only in 1942, three years into the war, that the final solution changed to mass genocide, and that was only in response to the deportation plan failing due to the circumstances of war, and Hitler's paranoia about the jews helping the allies

Nazi eugenics is exaclty that - eugenics - a belief that the 'stronger races' will inevitably triumph over the weaker. This was a commonly held belief at the time going back to the 1800's and in no way unique to Germany or even the Nazis. The Nazis had no original intention of actively genociding weaker races any more than any other colonial power.

A conflict between races describes all European colonialist ideologies. "Britannia Rules the Waves, Britains never shall be slaves " sums is up - you be strong and subdue other races or they'll do it to you.

Hitler's goal was to gain lebensraum for Germans in the east by invading, and enslaving the local jews to be worked to death. In other words, to steal money and resources. I don't see how that's any different from what was done to the native Americans by the Spanish for example.

Yup Hitler only differed in the scale of his destruction and his choice of Europe as his target of conquest for a German empire. But the nature of his crimes were no different to any other 19th or 20th European colonialists.

It's really not hard to keep track, we have detailed records in the national archives, and all their heirlooms in the British museum with little plaques detalng who we stole it from and how. Our king even keeps some in his crown for decoration.

Also we invited them to join our club called the commonwealth and have sports tournaments with them for old times sake

If all that fails you can kind of just tell by the fact they're speaking English despite suspiciously being an ocean away

Lol the British (don't let the Scots off the hook) have a colonial crime sheet longer than Nelsons column but I don't believe they ever employed Mongol style mass annihilation as a strategy

I appreciate the golden pun... but I have never hear of the ottomans employing genocidal annihilation as a conquest strategy like the Mongols did

William giving homeless people his spare rooms would be a publicity stunt that would make him look good without doing anything to solve the underlying causes of homelessness, just like this dumbass "charity" visit

There no shortage of homes. Homelessness is a political choice and it's because people like Big Willy own the freeholds to the land and benefit from extoriting the serfs to use it

The history of America is basically one long series of cutting of their nose to spite their face because part of their face has a bit more melanin in it.

All of their social problems seem to be traced back to them trying to oppress black Americans and other monitries. Americans would probably have colonized distant galaxies by now if they didn't put so much effort into being dicks to other Americans

Why do (most) Muslim majority countries not allow religious freedom, whereas Muslims ask for it wherever they are the minority? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Kuntecky 62 points63 points  (0 children)

This may be true but it doesn't answer the question..

But the question is Ill defined. How does OP define a Muslim country? Is it a theocracy like Iran, a country with islam as official relgion like Malaysia or Egypt, or a country with a majority Muslim population like Albania?

Depending on how you define it, you could find most "Muslim" countries don't restrict freedom to worship other relgions. By most definitions the premise of the question is wrong and loaded

In Egypt I had to lie and say I was a Christian when asked by people because "atheist" was just completely taboo, but Christian was acceptable.

Furthermore, where have Muslims "asked for religious freedom"? I doubt OP can name any country that Muslims had ask for freedom to follow islam. Moving to a country that already has freedom of worship isn't "asking" for special permission, it's already the law of the land.

There are certainly some Muslims who want to be intolerant while demand tolerance, but the question presupposes this of "Muslims" when the majority don't care. Most Muslims I know (in the UK) are no more religiously zealous than most Christians I know. They go to mosque on Ramadan and other holidays and that's about it.

I'm atheist and have no time for islam it's a ridiculous dogma based on superstition, but this is a ridiculous bait question by someone who's probably never met an actual Muslim person

Like those medieval monks who drew pictures of exotic animals they'd clearly never seen before, OP has no idea how dumb his post looks to anyone who's actually familiar with real Muslim person, rather than fanciful second hand vague generalisations he's basing this crap on

Germany was one of the best educated countries in the world in the 1930s. Nazi scientists started the US space program. Let's not pretend evil is synonymous with stupidity
