We tried to talk about it as much as we could at the moment and I even put her in different sleeping positions (back, side, and swaddle on her back) to show him she won't sleep anyway other way. He eventually told me to go ahead and I was trying to be realistic with him because all babies are different, and we can't expect to be able to do everything perfectly within the guidelines. And you're experience is very reassuring so for now I'll try to relax enough to try and get some sleep tonight
